  2. SHOCKING.
(I was FULLY EXPECTING City to win like 7-1 or something because they have become this ALL-DOMINATING-NO-ONE-CAN-TOUCH-THEM-NOR-CAN-THEY-BE-BEATEN team
then, THIS happens?)
(I'm confused. Wasn't Man City "supposed" to win here?? Like they do almost every game these days??)
    Someone please explain.

  3. Coming to the party a little bit late, but it is never too late to do the right thing, so

Julian Alvarez is my main concern. I am a huge fan, started to like him a lot when he was playing for River Plate, and then he came to City; where he has become a 'permanent' substitute for two years now, and I am certain that, under the current Guardiola scheme, he will always be a substitute, no matter what- if he decides to stay at City, that is.

From World Champion to a bench warmer, from wearing the no.9 shirt for Argentina to become the substitute guy for Guardiola, it is a HUGE fall. He is playing the Jack of ALL Trades role as a forward one time, or a defensive midfielder another time or an offensive midfielder for another day or situation, making some of us so fkin confused about what he is doing in that team. If you watched these highlights, you will notice a couple of situations when he is involved in the play, but he is ALWAYS positioned outside of the penalty box (for example there is a corner kick with 6 City players in the penalty area and him watching the action from outside the box (?!?) or when he shoots the ball again coming from outside the area or when he’s got a great opportunity after a pass from Foden and he misses big time (something that he would not normally do). Or, to top everything else, the last minute of extra time at the end of the game, he is literally playing as the last defender for City when he goes after Hojlund and gets the yellow card for it.

To me, his role in this team has become over time a sort of Jack of All Trades which has transformed Alvarez and his lethal striker skills to a surrogate made by Guardiola and his system, meant to protect Haaland and the others who always take priority over Alvarez. His natural striker instincts and his natural talent of playing in the center of the attack have been reduced to (almost) ZERO.

I bet he is more confused than anyone else about what his true role is, but he is too proud to admit it, or he is totally brainwashed into showing himself happy with the status quo and everything else around him. I am afraid the latter might be true, in which case he needs HELP, OUR help. I am also concerned that he might have a BAD management or entourage that gives him BAD ADVICE, pure and simple. He is either surrounded by greedy brainless leaches happy with their money and his status quo at City, telling him stuff like, yeah, you are a substitute but you play for Man City and you should pe happy about it or he is completely clueless of the situation he is in, thinking-I'm still young, I'll let time decide for me.

Either way, bad management, or no management to show him the right path to follow, to me things are pretty simple. He's got two options:

    1. He chooses oil money over career and glory and stays at Man City, as a SUB, with his future development and his career under a giant question mark. BIGGEST MISTAKE of HIS LIFE.

I was reading one recent Scaloni interview (the Argentinian national team coach) and the dilemma he has this summer to choose between L Martinez, a Starter and Captain with Inter Milano and our boy Alvarez, merely a substitute with Man City. Alvarez heroics with the national team are already a thing of the past, in Scaloni's mind what matters is the confidence and continuity at the club level. The message here is that nobody likes a long term solution where a substitute wears the No.9 Starter shirt for Argentina national team. His words, not mine.
If Alvarez chooses to continue as a substitute with City, his future with the national team is very uncertain. Staying with City and accepting the status quo he is facing now will lead to people becoming less and less curious about him, him becoming less and less popular as a discussion topic and his memory will fade away. In a few years he will be KAPUT as a professional in European soccer, his career a HUGE FIASCO. Mark my words.

    2. He chooses to GO THIS YEAR, THIS SUMMER. LEAVE Man CITY/ the SMARTEST CHOICE for HIS FUTURE/CAREER. He finds a club more than happy to make him their STARTER NO.9 Player, giving him the role he was born to play, the STRIKER or CENTER FORWARD ROLE. I am hearing some rumors about Atletico Madrid being interested. Any decent club, willing to give Alvarez the respect and consideration that he deserves, building up his confidence and self-esteem (something that the two years spent in Manchester have damaged big time) is a MUCH BETTER AND SANE CHOICE than staying put at Man City.

It is up to you, Julian boy. You must make the decision this summer, now. Because it is now or never. Any delay on this or any more time spent in Manchester will affect your future and career in a terribly negative way. You are 24, not a kid anymore, you should judge the situation with a mature mind and using the right approach. It's really simple: you either leave City, and you will become a STAR playing for a club that deserves you or you stay with City, and you will end up a Failure.
