Aunts Flo, you did a good job with this video . I will share it with my children to show them their culture and of course with my Onyibo friends that think that there's nothing good in Nigeria. Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work!
Nigerians did NOT get their name from a river. The people in "Niger" and the people in "Nigeria" are bloodline descendants of The Tribe of Simeon.
The name Niger was given to your ancestor Simeon while he was in Ancient Antioch, Greece. The line/border that divides the people in Niger and Nigeria was created sometime during the 1800's. There's a reason why the people in Niger speak "French" as their first language.
It's EXTREMELY important that you guys learn the truth about your history. I'm (currently) living in America, however, after learning about my being mostly Nigerian, I became very interested in my history beyond The Transatlantic Slave Trade and the Civil Rights Era.
The French government was even responsible for The Nigerian Civil War that took place. If you guys don't learn who you are so that you can start doing what our ancestors failed to do/become…. you're going to be asking for trouble.
மிக அருமை .🎉

But is it still so dangerous to come and visit? I mean because of the boko Haram etc.

I'm a māori guy from Aotearoa NZ, and I absolutely love Nigeria and the Nigerian culture and really want to go there. But I do happen to be very gay and apparently it's ranked most unsafe country for LGBTQ+ tourists, which is sad, but I still love the Nigerian culture regardless:)
