In my country (Caribbean) we cook millet in a similar manner. We add sweets to it. Sugar and vanilla (or cinnamon) are needed. Nice to see how other cultures make it. I will try this recipe out. We cook it on fire too. That way it gets to it's extra consistency and taste.
This is central way of cooking porridge yet it's not supposed to be put on fire. I don't like it cuz it has no value, western way of making millet porridge is the best.
