I think it’s a very bad idea to take police officers out of school when the children are especially high school are committing most of the violent crimes in Chicago.
These same crimes committed by these students are the same ones to sit in the classrooms every day. As a past teacher who have left teaching because of the violence and disrespect, in a nice fantasy world it would be great not to have police in the school, but we have to live reality.
Unfortunately, we have not done what we needed to in the past to educate our students on business of education we’d rather let them be educated by gangs, hard-core violence videos and sex.
We used to not do mass shootings, but last time I checked it was our own people. This is very scary. I feel sorry for the ones who’s passing this law, and I pray for the ones who will lose their life will be hurt injured behind these kids. Good luck for the fantasy people who want to try, you’re going to regret it.

Sounds great but so far a lot of the schools that have done this have already brought back law enforcement in some capacity. Keeping high school campuses safe is no easy task, so maybe having Black or Brown resource officers along with implementing the preventative measures might be better.
