  1. As an African what we are supposed to be doing is return back home after accomplishing whatever took us to the white man's land and come and contribute to build Africa, instead we would decide to stay there and cry. She should come and rep Nigeria and that would have been her own contribution to mother land

  2. These comments were made by a TINY minority of people. Everyone in Ireland is super proud of Rhasidat, she is a national treasure. Our national championships had the largest turnout ever two weeks ago to see her and support her. Ireland has always been a friendly place to visit and remains like this. It's a shame that a few hateful comments are tainting us as a population.

  3. Trump gave the entire world the voice and approval to hate without fear of persecution or consequence. What started in America has spread like cancer throughout the world. As a 60 year old white female American, I feel ashamed to be viewed by the world as associated with this hate. Another Hitler is being born.

  4. Racism and descrimination are everywhere and on the rise not Just in Ireland. The main instigators of these waves of racism are the MAGA cult in the USA, and yet inesplicably some African-Americans go out and support their criminal leader. The other thing with Rhasidat is avoiding all the horrid stuff on social media, she should simply concentrate on herself and having the best physical and mental preparation for Paris. I am sure racists want to bring her down! but so her competition.

  5. I’m Scottish, and thus part of the Gàedhlig heritage, but I’m astonished at the prejudicial replies I’ve read in this column from some of my Irish cousins. There is only one race – the human race.

  6. A of Ireland was an international NCAA champion if I remembered correctly, attended the American University competed for that university under an international program that I was informed the best worldwide as other athletes under the same program
After she graduated and became professional, sponsored; she is well trained, practiced, and prepared under an international coach in the United States of America with other raising star, Julien Alfred of St Louis, Dina Asher Smith and others.
There is prejudice everywhere: no countries are exempted that are stemmed from ignorance and fear in the hearts of mankind…
Yeah, she put Ireland in sports on the radar for the podium because of her potential and talent, but she is a woman of color and the same thing happened to a little girl of color, the only one received the same thing of racial undertones by a judge who was supposed to give her a medal ( this was gymnast)…so am I surprised?!! Absolutely not 🚭🚫, but disappointed and saddened that that happened to Adeleke as well as the little gymnast in Ireland….
But I am certain that Adeleke has her support system to continue her goals and what she is planning to do
We must pray for her to fight against prejudice because she has a platform with other athletes to stand up and speak out the injustice in her community and sport community!!!
Thanks for sharing your podcast though!!!

  7. Eh! Rhasy there are a TON of US-Born athletes who represent Nigeria and also have great global sponsors, so you should be covered from a monetary perspective. If the Irish are dumb enough to realize that they are FINALLY a medal contending nation esp in 400m because of your presence, then you should go represent Nigeria. Nigeria has a young/budding team, with mates that you teamed up with and/or competed against in the NCAA rounds, who will gladly accept you with open arms… and HECK the whole nation in the millions will be cheering for and support you as you continue to develop & improve on your times… You really don't need this foolishness… Ireland DO BETTER

  8. Being Irish, I'm sad that so many Irish people have been abusive toward a lovely, talented IRISH woman that should be celebrated! Most Irish love her. Only a small percentage of the population are stupid bigots. Much love to Rhasidat!

  9. She needed to have a better education about history 🤔 and she may have been better prepared, but look at what Ireland 🇮🇪 has been doing 😳 to black children in competition's that's why White's are going to deal with prophecy 🤔

  10. Forget those racists, beautiful young lady take your talents to the country of your parents birth. Due to the situation, they will be glad to have you.

  11. This is Ireland we’re talking about. The problem is people don’t know the history of these places or don’t want to know. Then act surprised when “said” people do what they’ve always done. This might sound cold, but I don’t feel sorry for the sista, she got a wake up call. Truthfully, a lot of our young people across the Diaspora need one. They need to start loving and appreciating themselves instead always looking outward for acceptance. Self Identity, Self knowledge, Self Revelation-C.Freeman El.

  12. What will it take for blck people to see that you are nothing in the eyes of these people? Why is it that especially blck women fail to take a stand against racsim? Dnt blame irland! Clearly they are not into blck people so we should stay away frm them or else we will continue to suffer

  14. I understand why FBA and the rest of Diaspora are where they are but instances like this I don't understand. Tremendous talent comes from the continent and they use their talent and gifts in places where they are not celebrated.
