  1. Is it very difficult? Is it scary? I'm thinking about applying also
I think this will be great for me to get more out of my comfort zone
and improve my communication skills and memory and confidence
I never done it before but I do have experience of talking to many different
people and dealing with many different personalities lol so this should
be a price of cake! Still nervous because this is new to me

  2. At my job me as a food runner, the servers think they only have to take orders and serve drinks, they play busy when it's time to actually serve the food

  3. Even though i was a busser it is not easy getting a job at a restaurant, plus i also have autism it makes it difficult for me to get along with people. since its 2024 my goal is to get busy , i hope i get a career this year i hate unemployment.

  4. One tip I have as a server of 4 years for newbies is that you should try to talk friendly and a little colloquial to guests you have. Show them you’re human too but remain professional. I’ve gotten countless compliments on my service for being nice but also being able to have conversations with your table about every day things is a good way to make them feel comfortable and welcome. Treat every table the same as well even if you have a usual that doesn’t tip.

Having a methodical approach has helped me a ton and watching videos like this too goes a long way. Always try your best and you’ll get great tips. You’ll have bad days but when you love serving then having some tables not tip won’t matter at all when you have some usuals becoming friends with you the more you serve at a restaurant.

  5. I'm a server at a catering business, but I'm leaving the job because of my strict, toxic boss. She is unbelievable. She just always has to be a good server and whatnot to the customers. You should hear her say "You're welcome." It's disgusting, given how she is when there are no witnesses.
