  1. Read somewhere:
The Ivory Coast and Ireland do not have the same flag, but they have a similar design of three vertical stripes of green, white, and orange. However, the meaning behind the colors is different for each country. The Irish flag represents the Catholic (green) and the Protestant (orange) communities, and the hope for peace between them (white). The Ivory Coast flag represents the savanna grasslands (orange), the rivers (white), and the coastal forests (green) of the country.

  2. The Tri-Color wasn't adopted by the Irish, it was imposed upon the Irish, by a Freemason, Thomas Meager, to show who controlled Ireland, and flown for the first time at 33 The Mall, in Co. Waterford. The rest of the stuff you mention is just a load of rubbish.

  3. Why would white represent peace when the were their oppressor? France still run the ivory Coast ! They overthrew a president less than a decade ago! 😁

  4. There are crazier stories out there to the point that I was 100% expecting Ivory Coast to have just liked it enough that they just flipped Ireland’s flag around and put a new patent on it.

  5. The meaning behind the Irish flag is perfect as a flag which can be used and accepted by all people living on the whole island of Ireland… 👍🇮🇪
