  1. Hola Papi Plátano! I have made the lasagna using lentils before – amazing! Today I make again the lasagna with carne de soya (TVP) for a potluck. (I live in Peru and we don't have all that fancy fake meat/cheese) so I will substitute w/ a cashew cheese sauce I make. I want to try all the recipes but I can't seem to make it past the lasagna, lol.

  2. Puerto Rico, Cuba, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic are strong in plantain.
    Most plantains are curved like horns. To make them straight, peel them, then put your hand over the curve against the cutting board and cut them. Bon appetite !!!

  5. Definitely different from how I grew up eating it. My Mom makes it different but your take on it looks tasty nonetheless. My Mom makes it vegan for me and my husband now and it’s delicious as well.

  6. I may have said this before but because of you I now have an indoor garden. My patio gets too much wind and heat to grow anything. I bought tiered planters and scotch bonnet for my first plant. I got so excited that now I grow fresh herbs and spices. I can’t wait for them to grow. I may even eat the kale! I use grow lights. They are awesome.
