Actually, the title is very incorrect! Le Pen has certainly won in these elections – but it is France who has been defeated!!! Very soon, I'll be having my cold beer while watching France becoming the first European country ruled by sharia. Then Germany. Sweden. Belgium. UK… Not necessarily in that order…

The victory by seats is opposite to the victory counting total votes. The far right RN came first in terms of votes – they won the plurality of the votes in the 2nd round by a long shot – 37%. They did even better than in the 1st round, even though their safest 39 seats did not vote in the 2nd round. A poll mentioned in the Guardian showed 37% wanted RN to have an absolute majority and another 16% wanted them to be the biggest party – so 53% wanted the RN to win but those 16% were persuaded to abstain or vote against RN so it didn't win too big – and this is the results – a sham.
Why is everyone hating the Le Pen party?
CNN is on the Left, so naturally views Le Pen as bad. The sad reality is that France is being ruined by socialism and stupid immigration policy. Tourists in Paris now have to be careful and only go to places which are safe.
A few days ago, when news of a possible far right extremist group takeover of france spread, I was so worried, just like all the good people out there.
Le pen's core policy centers around curbing immigration. But, france wouldn't be the beautiful and rich nation it is today without its diverse demographics.
Just look at the french football team at euro 2024. It's mostly black and black players are giving everything for their country.
This is the kind of modern state we all should strive for. Racism and xenophobia should never ever prevail. Thank you, france, for making the right decision
