I love you both!! Always watching your videos! So talented and creative! I am also a metalsmith, I would love to see you somehow get a sandblaster, could blow so much corrosion off of metal and very fun!!
I would LOVE to have these dumping sites near me in MI USA…I would be joining you!!😘
Where do you keep all the rest of your treasures?
Love all those Bits & Bobs 😊❤
Love this so much! I’m checking out your makes channel!!
are the white dishes milk glass? some milk glass glows in the dark. I wonder if any of them do. my cats would destroy everysingle display in your house during a single night's frivolities. lol
the white pointy thing looks like a thing they used to use for lace making, it hung down to cause tension in the strings, while other threads were woven in and out or knotted. there are larger ones that I think were used for spinning wool, the wool was wrapped and then it hung down and spun, and the threads of wool would pull down and tighten up as it spun. at first I thought it was a stylus type thing for pushing out corners in sewing, or making layers stay together until you could finish a stitch.
i love it when you step back in history, dressed as they were and seeing things as they saw them. its such fun, and the imagary is so lovely
I absolutely love watching you two. ❤️ 😊
GAIL! YOUR HAIR IS GORGEOUS! YOU LOOK SOOOOO YOUNG!
WOW!!!🤩 Finally my curiosity about all your finds bundled together and showcased in a video has been fulfilled!🥸 Thank you so much, Ladies. I vividly remember your first few videos not finding too many interesting items but you became experts in the eagle eyed Mudlarking hobby quite fast👀❤️ Lovely finds and real treasures you possess now in such a short period…..GL and HH on the next adventure and may God Bless you both…🙏🏼🍀👋🏼🇨🇦
The white sewing notion looks like an object used in lace making.. it would be great to make an alphabet book with all your different finds. of course with some history attached and great photos.. thanks for sharing your finds so fascinating.
Beautiful intro! You are so talented.
If times are tough [financially] why don't you sell some of these "hobby" finds on ?
You might have to check up on the new laws regarding hobby sales, and when you have to start paying them their cut in the guise of tax !
Plus, have you found where on your property [probably near the house] that the original owners of your Home used as a dump ? How old is your house ? Does it predate Victoria ?
I bought an old house once in England, and accidentally, whilst gardening, discovered a dump from a 1650's coaching Inn's kitchen … in my garden … !
Amongst many of my finds I also found several solid silver mustard spoons, a drop dead gorgeous hand painted [red and blue roses] side plate, with a tiny chip out of it … and an almost intact embossed bed pan urinal [with a pouring spout] that looked like a bong. The end of the spout was sadly chipped.
It turned out that my house "was" the kitchen, staff quarters and double Stable of the old coaching Inn … and even the estate agent didn't know / was unaware.
To me your house looks like it is also hiding something in its garden, as well as within its walls.
Do you have a secret Roman Priest Hole, for example ? Do your internal measurements match the walls ?
The Roman Catholics used to be called The Roman Empire … Their last Emperor changed their name, job titles and method of conquering the world etc … that's why I call them Roman Priest Holes.
I used to live in a big house in Durris [Aberdeen] and found 3 floors of secret passages and tiny rooms within its walls.
I hope you have either found something [secret stash of gold coins in an ancient sporran / bottle of whiskey etc under a floorboard?] or that you find something interesting in this house [and its grounds] if or when you do decide to take a closer look.
Loved seeing your treasure trove of special finds! What a collection!!! Great video as always, ladies.
The "sewing notion" is an awl for making eyelets in clothing.
loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
HAPPY NEW YEAR…!!!
Wonderful video.
You two found so many interesting finds! Happy New Year!
So exciting to see your cabinet of curiosities!! It is so fun to see all your different collections and hear what you have learned about your finds. I LOVE your videos and tagging along on all your mudlarking, jewelry making and homesteading adventures. Happy New Year from the pacific northwest!
🌺🕊️🕊️🌹 very sweet….
An incredible year ladies! I’ve watched almost all of your videos. So much fun. I am an Indian Jones fan, and I grew up scavenging in the fields for finds as a child. I still do. So I get it guys. I love being surprised by the inventiveness and creativity of peoples who lived so long ago. Thank you for your concerted efforts to bring us along. ❤🙏🙏🔥🔥🔥🇺🇸
I remember one particular valentines meat juice bottle I found whilst digging a tip and when I got it home to clean it I realised it still had 100+ year old meat juice in it 🤢 the smell it created throughout the whole house was indescribable, absolutely putrid!
I absolutely love the tax collectors ink bottle and the smelling salts bottle, complete with salts, how incredible! What was the benefit of smelling salts?
Finding treasure is the ultimate thrill for sure 🙂
The bas relief bust of the woman you said you aren’t sure about you showed only briefly, but I’m going to suggest it might fit over a button, particularly the top button at the neckline. Perhaps to remove for laundering? I’d like to have another look at it.
lmao not an antique douche nozzle.
Here’s an idea! If you upholster the back of the cabinet with a nice linen you could pin things to it. They’d be easier to see.
This was a lovely look into your collections. I enjoyed the dramatization of the cabinet's opening. Well done! I am so looking forward to your next mudlarking video!
Wow what a collection👍🤩
I have watched your videos for over a year now and i think what you ladies do is absolutely amazing. I love digging and finding old bottles and finding things from the past. Here in the US i live in MS and people look down on people who dig and shame us. Not really many places to find things here anyway. I would be in heaven to be where you guys are. Ive never seen such amazing finds you find. You are living my dream. Thanks for brining a little bit of my dream life to me through your videos.
What an absolutely stunning video. You both have outdone yourselves and I cannot wait to see what 2024 holds in store with your finds. Good health and good luck to you in this new year.
I just love your cabinet of wonders! You can look at them for years to come and not only enjoy them, but remember where you found them.
“As you douche…” hahaha I shot water out of my nose! Funny! I think you ought to put your stuff on risers in the cabinet. Would be easier to see. I love your channel.
You are both so inspirational! I think I am going to build a Cabinet of Curiosities ! Thank you so much for sharing ! So very cool!
Love you ladies so much! I’m in the process of watching all of your videos…I think I’ve seen most of them. Sending much mudlarking luck for 2024 from the Alabama Gulf Coast!
Maybe you could find someone that could make you some glass shelves to put in between the existing shelves
I feel like you should use the faux tortoiseshell hairpin, Alex. Might as well, it's going to disintegrate eventually anyway, and I think it would look lovely in your hair.
Love your videos ❤
I have only recently found your channel and am loving it. Happy new year from Wales
Finally! The bead string I’ve been waiting for all year!
Beautiful and interesting items you placed in your cabinet if curiosities! Thank you for sharing! Be safe keep creating cheers 🇨🇦❌⭕️🕊️🙏💞
Maybe a half shelf in the back corner's for more space. To enjoy your wonderful finds. Wonderful filming.
I am so glad I found your videos! I LOVE all your amazing treasures! It makes me want to hop across the pond and go mudlarking (a new term for me) with you! I have made one trip to London to do the tourist thing but would love to come over and do something like this with you! Much love from Texas!
What a delight to see all your special finds grouped together. Thanks for the tour.
Hello lovely ladies, loved this one , well done , music also ❤️ much love from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤️
Thank you. Love the little heart ring. I wonder who bought it, who wore it and did their love endure . . .
I really enjoyed that visit to the cabinet of curiosities. Loved the Victorian ambience with the candle Alex and your choice of musical accompaniment. Here’s hoping the new year brings a new collection of wonders for you both.
🎉beautiful and amazing treasures❤
