1. what happened with this story? as in what was the outcome
2. this kind of reporting it just irks me, why not confront the PS or relevant govt official to get a response from them
There are alot of empty spaces that can be built fast then relocate the occupants. It is not health at all to vacate occupants when there is a better option.
Government should be creating solutions for the people not problems they should give people choice and give them plenty of time before they before acting on anything that could cause more problems to the citizens
Kutoka Kwa nyumba za gova ni noms
Si mlikuwa mnapigia hustler nduru na shangwe vile alishinda, sasa kuleni kiburi yenu
Kaloleni , muthurwa, makongeni n shaurj moyo were the best candidates to be demolished first
I think they should start with the slums like Kibera etc.
Who are the owners of those estates? How can you surrender a legal occupied property surely? Can investors invest in Kenya?
Houses in makongeni area of jogoo road and Kaloleni
That letter from the government
60 yr old houses should be redeveloped.
Lakini hizo za 5 years ago should be left. They have not aged at all
Poor planning, how do you demolish a descent estate for affordable housing, there are so many slums that need to be developed 5:25
Why can’t they upgrade kibera en mathare slums😢😢
Just move. Assume kumechomeka. Or the house has cracked. Wacheni excuses. Guthie née guthie
Building affordable housing by demolishing current affordable housing, Well nobody accused our government of being geniuses so …
ni sawa, bora nipate keja ya balcony chini ya rooftop kwa corner👍
anyway jokes aside, 2 months is a very short vaccation notice….
Surely, are these the houses they want to pull down?
How can government make people homeless, in order to make homes for others??
Are the ones who are being evicted worthless?
Or it's a case of government eating it's children?
🤔
Are the houses really affordable to boda bodas and mama mbogas??I think they should be termed unaffordable…ama??
A government full of stupidity 😑
Most of these houses belong to the Nairobi county government and the occupiers don't even work for the county government and have inherited the houses from the parents who once upon a time worked for the Nairobi city Council. They should be demolished and other high rise houses built on the land.
Lack of priorites
It is the Most stupid thing to keep building residential towers in this areas and making Nairobi more congested.
HOW ABOUT BUILDING A TRAUMA HOSPITAL , EQUIPPED FIRE STATION…
Yaani plot zikiuzwa Nai 30k bado ulikua unaishi kwa keja ya gavaa…why dint you buy plot Nairobi na uko na 20 hectares ushagoo?
soon the whole of nairobi will be like pipeline
In five years time from now,all government land within Nairobi metropolitan that was grabbed or illegally allocated will get repossed and commence development to allow expansion and ease the housing crisis rocking the city.
Its high time for residents finding themselves within the marked land to vaccate immediately within the stipulated grace period of time or face eviction from court orders.
