She sounded too condescending when she said in many parts of Africa people went without clothes until Islamic and Christen missionaries arrived. They had clothes. If the missionaries found some without clothes it's bc those people they found were some of the poorest or chose to live a nudist life. West Africa is not frigid Norway. It's freaking hot there. Many people around the world in hot regions used to go without clothes, and some do bc of practical reasons.
