Boys playing dodgeball..
Were the Jonny Rebs really stupid enough to try charging their cavalry straight into the front of the Billy Yanks front?
Have they never heard of flanking maneuvers?
They refused to bury these men with the other soldiers so they were all buried separately and is now where every fallen soldier get buried.
Dam good movie
This is a great movie with great actors wow I miss movies like this
They didn’t hit a single fucking person, not one horse in the leaves after the smoke settled a bit
Es la mejor película de la guerra de sesecion
Sad that so many think the north was fighting to save black people.
¿Que tienen que ver los pobres caballos???
What? Hundreds of bullets and they all manage to turn back…
Should've had bayonets fixed.
روعه لطالما احببت هذا الفلم واشتاق لرؤية الممثل الكبير مورغان فريمان وتعابير وجهه الحقيقية وكأنما يخوض المعركة بالحقيقة ..
Moral : Just reload dang it
I like the scene to fight forest
Help me understand something. Why did the people of the North give their life to free black who they wouldn't be willing to share a bathroom with before 100+ years after the war was won?
Little late on the reload order…
Too bad they didn't have Henry rifles
Never celebrated too early
Lots of bitterness😢!
And no horses died?
They may have wanted to reload instead of cheering. 😁
This scene is just nuts first a cav charge which didnt happen much on troops in formation and after they break theres troops just hundred yards behind them, they would have been broken up by the cav breaking off. Still a dramatic set piece
Fighting wars like this seems asinine now.

"If resistance to the power of the slaveholders was the moderate slogan of your first choice, then death is slavery! the triumphant battle cry of your re-election.
Karl Marx on a letter to Lincoln
No bayonets😮?
One of the best movies ever made Denzel, Washington is my favorite actor and I also love Morgan Freeman
I actually knew someone who was born 11 years after the civil war ended. My great grandmother 1876-1967.
Switching weapon is faster than reloading.
They would have definitely kept coming
Great movie
Shouldnt it be fire by platoon? Or do they mean everyone fire at once?
They should have immediately reloaded ! 🤔
Reload now dummies!
I would NOT want to be on the receiving end of that fusillade.
What are you standing up for?!
Give 'em Hell, 54th!
Let me Ride My horse directly into a line of fire oh no they're shooting at me why is this happening
You know for anyone never been in combat you don't care about the bigger picture you don't care about freedom you care about yourself and the man next to you.
I never understood this, how do actors get their horses to fall in movies?
What a horrible misuse of cavalry. Should have started with advancing the infantry while the cavalry probed the flanks or a way to get behind the enemy infantry line. Line infantry normally fixes bayonets when confronting a charge by cavalry as well. I still love this movie though.
Instead of celebrating they should be reloading their muskets. Those aren’t Spencer rifles they have. In real life what we see here would be considered undisciplined. But it’s Hollywood so.
It’s faster to reload than celebrating.
That seen always got me. They should have already started to reload and been ready for the next wave
It always angered me when animals were used in combat. I know some soldiers didn't care if they shot the horses or not.
