that looks like Michael Jackson on the thumbnail
This case will 100% settle out of court. Jaden literally has no case. The indictment has nothing to do with Florida it has to do with Miami’s 9M+ contract that Ruiz said never existed. So his contract with Florida is not mentioned lawsuit at all. He has to prove Napier knew this kid was ever going to be paid. Also, Napier didn’t say anything to Jaden “supposedly” to his father . However, Florida is a two party consent state so BN has to agree to the recording or its admissible in court . If this did go to court Jaden would be disposed. No way they will put him on the stand. This will settle because these lawyers want money and won’t keep going knowing they will have to take the stand. Miami is pissed because he said there was a contract between Jaden and Miami and Ruiz is saying it never existed. This case will go on for a while and that’s if his lawyers want to keep going knowing they will lose in court. He will settle for a fraction of what any contract was. Not to mention he will have to pay all these lawyer fees as well. Some lawyers say he wont keep going knowing they can’t win.
It all comes back to needing a commish. It won’t really be College ball. Funny thing is who will want to watch minor league football? These athletes want it both ways. Mooch off of the College brand and resources yet little to no commitment and now pay in return. They want the minors. They may just get it and not like it.
Sun Belt Billy gonna get fired this year!!!
I just wish the NCAA football game would drop! You know it’s made in a warehouse in a box.
God you definitely need to make your videos shorts
Schools aren't responsible for athletes' NIL. They're really not obligated for a dime of NIL. That's really on an athlete and his agent to capitalize on NIL. If you really look at it. Paying an athlete is different. But saying schools can't put a cap on what they pay is nonsense. No business is obligated to bankrupt itself to pay employees. At the end of the day, these are businesses. They have to have budgets. These athletes don't like that. Find something else to do with your life.
Reminder that the same accounting tricks that made College Football look unprofitable on paper was also used to make Return of the Jedi look unprofitable just to refuse to pay Darth Vader.
Honestly I think that NIL significantly reduced the competitiveness of college football. A lot of mid-tier cfb programs are now basically pipeline schools for the sec/big ten transfer portal. Seems like they can no longer bring in a 3-4 star recruit and develop them into top tier players anymore because they transfer to bigger programs that will also give them more money! I’d say let all the schools pay players a nationwide flat rate yearly salary that increases for each season they play! I get that the athletes deserve to get paid but when do we draw a line and say this is significantly hurting %60 of programs who now have to not only deal with recruiting but now also having to try to convince their own starting lineup to stay another season. Imagine if players like Patrick Mahomes,Lamar Jackson or RG3 transferring instead of staying at their school
Hello hello People. So if you are one of the people that don’t like What has Become of College Sports and Especially College Football. It’s all about the money. And it’s going to Destroy what we know as The only Damned Level of Sports that Once was the Premier Game. Yea I don’t like what I see. And it’s going to get worse by the Day and it’s going to be just like the NFL. Hello hello People. I don’t Watch The NFL Because it’s all PAID for Before it’s Even PLAYED. So now they are going to Destroy the only Game that Used to have some INTEGRITY Because the Players Had to Fight to get to the NFL. Now it’s all going down the DRAIN And INTO the SEWER system. Yea I can AGREE on an INSURANCE POLICY Just in case the Players Get Hurt and can no longer play. Hello hello People. The NIL is going to be a BAD thing
Players need to FLEE the sinking gator Titanic football program. UF is about to get slapped with program crippling ruling that’s well overdue!!
Didn’t Right now NORTHWESTERN FOOTBALL PLAYERS trying to unionized a few years ago, saying that they were employees .
Collective Bargaining is going to happen, bet on it — its the only way to stop all the lawsuits.
Now we have to talk about re-alignment according to school budgets .. maybe a five tier system ?
$20m+ schools = Alpha League. $15-20m schools = Bravo League. $10-15m … $6.5-10m .. under $6.5m …
ESPN + others will make media deals with each League.
What happens with the smaller schools whose athletic departments dont really turn a profit? There's no 22% to share
If the players become employees, would they even be considered students will they half to attend classes?
People keep mentioning Billy Napier but he had nothing to do with nil and Jaden Rashada lied and said Billy Napier promised him compensation he has no proof he going to look stupid in the end
There will only be two official college sports, all other sports will turn into clubs where athletes have to pay to play them. Mark my words.
All that kid needs is a good ol edge rusher like bama has ,to flatten his ass a couple of times and humble him
Slow boy Billy Napier is in way over his head in the SEC
Optics not good for the Mitey Gators. It does open the door for other players/teams in same position. This kid is searching for money. Gotta hunch that it’s a bunch of nuthin.
Major learning institutions don’t seem to know much about biz
Wondering if this will take the shine of the so called college sport of football. No more win one for the gipper. NFL will be even more number one
College football has turned into just Free Agency even as a HS recruit… You pick and choose where you wanna play based on the bag… Its not about your dream school anymore or following your families footsteps and attending the same school as them and building a family legacy. And when you do decide to sign with a school, you can just say screw it and enter the transfer portal as soon as things dont go your way (ie playing time, miscommunication with staff or players, etc) I feel like a lot of schools are gonna start having bad culture and it will soon be almost impossible to sustain success and build a dynasty (like it already wasnt before all this lol)The integrity of the sport and comradery is officially gone. Its sad but college football itself will probably die out in the next 10-15 years and will just become a G league for NFL teams
If this is a CONTRACT, what did the kid do to fulfill his side of the contract? If this was a contract, was the kid old enough to contract for this? If this is a "job offer", can this job offer be rescinded at any time? Why can't current or former NFL Players play for college teams now that the compensation gap has changed?
I really enjoy Andy’s analysis, not just with this but on all college topics. Keep up the great work!
The altruism, loyalty and education my brother associated with choosing a school and a team to be a part of during my youth is officially over . Being a part of something special was important. College football magic is no more.
