  1. Popular but not healthy, the salt, sugar, content and the starchy content only can kill you before you are 40 years old. it leads to diabetics, hypertension, heart and stroke problems

and kidney problems. Unless this food is mixed up with other nutrients from seafood and lots of vegetables, this food id just a stomach filler and does not help the body and soul to a bit leads to early graveyard, especially now that every food is bombarded with SALT and MAGGIE CUBES. And yes I remember, the Dichemso/Brahabebome joint.

  2. Wow, kenkey's origin is Ga Dangme. A dish that goes with the famous black shito, which has been adopted across the country. I will pardon you as a Ga dangme woman as you sound non Ghanaian so we are teaching you. Famous KOMI KE KENAM. The typical Akan diet consists of fufu and kontomire soup, palm soup, yam, plaintain and kontomire and garden eggs stew.

  3. 1- Jollof rice(with fried or grilled chicken or goat meat 🍚😋
    2- Waakye+shito+gari+wele+fried fish +gari+spaghetti or veggies
    3- Banku+tilapia(fresh pepper sauce &shito)
    4- Beans +fried plantains (gob3l
    5-Fufu+goat light soup
    6-Tuo zaafi
    7-Kenkey+fried fish 🐟
    8-kelewele
    9-Omo tuo
    10-Plantain ampesi+kontomire stew

  4. I'm Caribbean American and watch out of curiosity. It's interesting what my family remembers of our ancestors. We have fungi and fish for example. Separated for centuries, but maintaining culture thorough food

  5. OMG…So Delicious….Thanks Bro for Posting this . You sent me back to My days in Ghana. Lucky to have tried all of these Plus Groundnut Stew, Fried YAM with Pepper, Plantain with Ground Nuts…..Just So very Delicious – Everything.

  6. The video is really good but the history and people behind the food is a total mess. Banku, okro soup and chilli 🌶 is from EWE People south of Ghana. Kenkey is from GA and FUFU is from Akan’s. Please get the facts right it’s extremely important.

  7. Kelewele should not be on the list.. It's a snack or starter.. Not a dish… Also I not sure if this list is based on the most popular cos jollof is not an everyday meal so can't be number one.. Making jollof is an event meal.. I will rate gari over jollof in this list..
