  1. Thank you so much for watching! It really does mean the world to us! Please give this video a THUMBS UP, please SUBSCRIBE and please leave us a comment too as that's extremely important to us (and it also encourages YouTube to suggest it with other viewers who might be interested), and also we’d LOVE to hear from you. R&H x

  2. How long are the Tours/excursions? do you come back to the ship for lunch. and then tour some more? Just trying to get an idea of how strenuous the days will be? Thank you

  3. That's what i love about Uniworld, their ships are never subtle they are totally unique! We have done four Uniworld cruises now and are doing this one next year so thanks so much for the useful information!

  4. Fantastic video! From the beginning i was captivated by your naturally relaxed and professional way of delivering this information…..well done! Very informative, and a great help to all that will watch your video! Thanks both! ❤

  5. Nice video, I never go with a guide, always by my self if so much better, I never book ahead, so much better than a guide, guides are rip offs $$$ and don't forget tip, tip, tip, tip, tip, I tell them in Arabic Halus! lala shukran, I made friends in Egypt and stay at there house, real Egypt. OMG 4 seasons Hotel$$$$$$$ you can stay right in front of the Pyramids $50 with breakfast and that's expensive, try it by yourselves instead of being led around.

  6. Great video – we are off to Egypt for 2 weeks in August which will be immensely hot but thankfully not as humid as it gets where we live in Australia. Can I just say Rich, that your voiceover brought the narrator of the fabulous Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy straight to mind! Just made me enjoy it even more, as if I was travelling with the HG advising me of the delights of the Nile 😂❤ – well done!

  7. “Be prepared to share a table, because you’ll want to”…..Speak for yourself love, you don’t know what other people want? 🙄

  8. May I commend on your excellent, professional-grade video.

Thank you for bringing back vivid memories. We visited Egypt March 2017 in company of 8 friends.

As you said, it was unique and most of all – a lifetime experience.

Egypt should certainly be on everyone’s bucket list.

Although there are a lot of heritage and cultures in Europe, there is nothing like Egypt. City-wise, Cairo is quite appalling compared with normal European cities.

But didn’t matter. Destinations like Giza, Karnak, and Luxor have no equals.

    Thanks.

  9. I remember being in awe of this cruise on your Instagram – it's such a bucket list route for me, and this is doing it in absolute style – I love the look of it! I've always wondered about the security element of Egypt after my friends told me they had to go through airport-style security in Sharm – I guess it's just something you need to get used to… Brilliant video!

  10. I’ve watched a few of your videos and really enjoy your natural and calming delivery style. You do a wonderful job of being informative without seeming scripted, and love your dynamic and how you share the narration nicely. I’ve often thought of a Nile cruise and found this video so educational.

  11. Thank you so much for this amazing video. As much as I want to visit this part of the world along with India and such I just don’t think I can. It would be just too devastating to see children living that way.

  12. As always, together with the other linked videos, a really informative and well crafted insight into both the ship, sights and culture. Great to see Helen practising for “Strictly”.

  13. We also LOVED EGYPT, we cruised on the Movenpick Nile Lily but we found it hard to find an itinerary that didn't dawdle down the Nile for a week and waste a ton of time. Ours was just a couple nights from Aswan to Luxor and then we flew from Luxor to Cairo instead of spending extra days on the river instead of exploring. But…that was hard to find. What an amazing place. Everyone should go!

  14. Lovely looking ship but I picked up on the comfort side before you mentioned it. The public area lounges/seats looked like those old horse hair padded seats: rigid and uncomfortable. Not for lingering. But it wouldn’t stop me going. Great historic country.

  15. We took a cruise on the Nile almost a year to the day before the Arab Spring and it was very stressful when the tourist police asked if you wanted them to take your photo. It was with the late Thomas Cook and was fabulous. But the wake up call came at 6am everyday and most had early nights. We only got off the boat for excursions and a walk alone around Aswan. But would love to return. Another wonderfully photographed and informative video!

  16. I agree it's a once in a lifetime visit and the ship was very beautiful, although quite different as you noted. I think it's sometimes very hard to see the dichotomies of the human condition in places like Egypt and it can be quite difficult. Thanks so much for sharing.
