  1. Your road trip in 2019 in West Africa reminds you of Papua Island in 2024? Man It reminds me of West Africa in 1980! This is one remote part of the world. To have an internet link here and to connect with your mobile phone is almost a miracle here in so many places.

  3. Its ridiculous for a border not to have anyone manning it. Is it because very few people wanted to cross/visit PNG? Or just the government people not wanting to do their jobs? I thought borders between countries are the strictest of all.

  4. I'm Papua New Guinea bro and your not wrong, wtf was that immigration officer thinking leaving the national boarder unmanned. It's people like him who give my country a bad reputation.

  5. Munger and Buffett have both achieved an incredible feat with Berkshire. They've turned thousands to billions, and have made a lot of people wealthy in the process. I really saw the potential of the stock market by reading Berkshire's annual letters. I recently sold my $674k apartment in the Bel Air area and I'm hoping to throw it into the stock market. I just don't want to lose everything.

  6. I hear that when you get to Papua if they see you and there’s something they don’t like about you (whether it be the way you look or in this case the way you act) they’ll turn you away without hesitation. Come with respect (and quietly) or don’t come at all 🙏

  7. There are immigration officers on the PNG side on market days, there is an entire team of them that have staff housing 2km from the border. It's not just one officer? So absurd.

  8. The city of Port Moresby is extraordinarily beautiful. God bless the country of Papua New Guinea, greetings from the city of Maumere, Flores Island.
