There is something unfortunately one might call the military industrial intelligence complex. The real corridors of power and American policy lie there. The billionaires who actually are in charge of American foreign policy only care about 3 things: profit, American hegemony, and the Petrol Dollar. Unfortunately American prosperity and global dominance is predicated on the Petrol Dollar. There are sources of information deeply connected to military intelligence who've leaked that it was communicated to Netenyahu that if he were to create a big ruckus with Iran (he wanted to) that would of course involve Hezbollah and choke off traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, (21 million barrels of oil per day) then the US would not back him. That's what military analysts were afraid of that Gaza would spark a this all out war between Israel and Iran etc. China also didn't want this. So it didn't happen. Apparently this is very bad for the political future of Netenyahu. Furthermore he's completely destroyed Israel's international credibility now. This will ,in all likelihood, generate a natural DBS that over the next decade that will send Israel into an economic state of austerity. That result would cause an exodus of a certain sector of the Jewish population. Leaving those who remain i.e. the Palestinians the Christians and Jews with the necessity of creating a one state solution.
