So you go to a country and publicly broadcast that the culture is crooked, and hand to mouth and expect that this will help you in settling in!!! The woman in the green blouse called Cathy was very abusive and disrespecful. Half of the problem is the black American mouth!!! Of course there are other real issues, like competition for scarce land resources, when locals cannot are at a financial disadvantage, and yes the tribalism and the programmed idea that many black people carry of supremacy of other races, and automatic acceptance that this is normal, while seeing the rise of other blacks as a threat! That being said, anwhere you go, you cannot publicly verbally abuse the whole culture. Have some patience, humility and discretion, understand the perspective of the locals, and try to fit in!! Those who are not there already should look for somewhere else!

Hmmm, as I listen, I realize these issues (besides the scamming) happens everywhere. For instance I am from and live in the US Virgin Islands, and when YT Americans come here, my local community have the mindset that they are buying up our land, and we need to do something about it. In terms of, we need to put ourselves in financial positions to buy up our own land and not let them buy our land and "take over". In the US you all have that same mindset, it's referred to as gentrification. YT people or financially affluent individuals coming into predominantly and historically BLK neighborhoods and buying up property. This issue isn't unique to Gambia beloveds

The Gambia has become very poor mainly due to European exploitation and other factors like the lack of tourism due to covid. So everyone there is for themselves. Gambians are very aware of the trans Atlantic slave trade and the fact that African Americans/ Caribbeans are descended from Gambians and other West Africans, but these issues are purely a cause of poverty and not because Gambians hate them. Most Gambians are very friendly and good hearted people! 🇬🇲
I am American born and i live in the Gambia. I have not had any issues with the Gambians. Jelousy is everywhere. In the US different ethnic groups move in and we have never waged war on them.
