"It's a life of sacrifice"
Where we're taking you: to Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. 15 million people live there. That's 43,000 people per square km/ per 0.6 of a mile. The heaviest concentration of humanity on the planet. It's a tough life for most.
We take a glimpse into the life of one of the 400,000 rickshaw drivers. Our hero struggles. He wants better for his children. So, as a side job, he dives into sewers (yes, human feces sewers) to search for gold dust that gets washed down the drains by the gold diggers.
We listen to a train driver: he just doesn't brake otherwise the carriages will tip over and hundreds would die. So he says. So far, not one accident in 30 years. Fishermen along the Ganges use trained otters to help them catch fish.
We follow pilgrims who stand 8 hours straight on the train ride – to attend a pilgrimage. Milions travel to the city to pray and listen. It's not a holy islamic site but scholars come. The people listen.
A life made up of sacrifice.
Five super interesting facts about Bangladesh 🇧🇩
1. It is the eighth-most populous country in the world, with a population exceeding 164 million people.
2. Dhaka, the capital and largest city, is the nation's economic, political and cultural hub.
3. Dhaka is the ninth-largest and the sixth-most densely populated city in the world, with a population of 8.9 million residents within the city limits, and a population of over 21 million residents in the Greater Dhaka Area.
4. Dhaka suffers some of the worst traffic congestion in the world. The city lacks an organized public transport system. Construction of MRT and a BRTmay solve the problem. Cycle rickshaws and auto rickshaws are the main mode of transport within the metro area, with close to 400,000 rickshaws running each day: the highest number in any city in the world.
5. Islamic festivals of Eid ul-Fitr, Eid ul-Adha, Eid-E-Miladunnabi and Muharram; Hindu festival of Durga Puja; Buddhist festival of Buddha Purnima; and Christian festival of Christmas witness widespread celebrations across the city.

Is this London 😂
I watch these documentaries to gain perspective in life and understand that no matter how bad my life may be, I know that others will always have it way worse than I do. If i want to make $15 I can simply get in my car and do million different things to make just that and vastly way more in the fraction of the time it takes for them to make the same, I should be greatful.
Blessings go with you, all. ⭐ blessed all the pure in thoughts and heart.🌍🇯🇲

I'm in love with India. Always have been. And Indian people are drawn to me in my career. I am now 61 and afraid I am too old to ever see the wonders in person.
And the program narrator, is very good in explaining the proceedings. It deserves an Oscar Academy for sure😢😢😢
I have many bangladeshi collegues here in Norway. Amazing people. They are highly educated and work in Jobs far below their education. Hardworking, generous, just , straight forward , wise and humourus all of them. Alive ! Strong spirit 🩵🙏

I wonder if there are any men who don't want any children in their life time, rather work hard and get wealthy 🤑 I know I grew up dirt poor in Texas and I never wanted any children but to get wealthy and say it's not my fault people are poor and hungry it's not my I rather get rich and leave nobody in the world asking me why am I in this world?
Said it before, saying it again – Why the heck would people who can't feed themselves have kids? Insanity in its purest form

Great documentaries always !!!!!
I blame the government for not spending money on infrastructure. If we did we would see less deaths more trains and better safer roads. Instead the government is pocketing the money themselves and having pointless elections
I honestly do not understand why there are not more trains put on for these special days………it’s absolutely ridiculous and so awful to see….but what is amazing is how happy everyone seems to be….❤❤❤❤
The thing I learned is that otters refuse to work if they’re not fed and they’re just as important to go fishing. Nice move otters. You are safe from predators and you get fed for whatever you might of do in the wild.
Documentary better than national geography and discover channel
My best friend is from this country i ask him if he se himself living their in the future he said HELL NO!😂😂
The translator makes the documentary enjoyable ❤❤

I went to bangladesh last year for business,
One of the most interesting and adventurous places i have been, one of the best travel experiences anyone can have
I hope i can be there again
To be honest, standing for 6 hours might look hard but at the 2nd hour and more, you won't feel tiredness in your leg. You'll only feel it if you take a sit then stand again.
I remember when I was doing lab work in my university back then that I usually had to stand 3-6 hours per session every other day. At first, I always find something to sit on the first hour since I feel my legs getting tired, but after noticing that I don't feel tired after going through that first hour and it comes back after taking a sit, I stopped myself from sitting. It's the same in running. Never take a sit when you're temporarily resting. It's called "active rest"
The stole the whipers from the train, this place is serious.
After watching this I will never complain about my life, please forgive me God for not realizing how great my life truly is. 😢
Bangladesh's human density poses both challenges and opportunities!!! Managing resources effectively becomes crucial, but it also fosters a vibrant community spirit!!! In a country with such high population density, the resilience of communities is remarkable!!! People supporting each other through thick and thin is truly inspiring!!!
Here in America people complaining about their hard $15 an hour jobs
Uff wansa😭🤣
I can't believe this😢 I prayed there we be okay and government give this attention
