My First 24 Hours in MADAGASCAR


What a whirlwind the past 24 hours of my life have been in Madagascar!!

I decided to come to Madagascar with absolutely no plan. It’s fun being spontaneous sometimes.

I arrived in the capital of Madagascar called Antananarivo early this morning with no hotel reservation, no plan and no idea what I’d be doing… Just seeking…

  2. Just so folks know. There are very nice parts of Antananarivo. It would be like being taken to NYC and you are shown Rego Park Queens. There are nice hotels. Shopping malls and nice neighborhoods. Yes there is extreme poverty for sure. And yes one should not hold an iPhone outside of a car as you drive along. Bit the people are very friendly and kind hearted. I should know. I am an American in Madagascar.

  3. 1:11 – 1st impressions of Antananarivo (capital in description) were lots of colonial bldgs, old school taxis, food sold on the street, extreme poverty, kids playin soccer.
    1:45 – wi-fi's almost non-existent (1:59) finally in tiny internet cafe internet barely workd.
