  1. Trying to decide on solo travel for a week to Senegal -Dakar. How hard was it to get around? I want to hit "The Door of no return", Museum of Black Civilization, The Statue and check out the night life. Is it doable with struggle French? Is transportation able? WHich is the best part of the City to book a room in? Thanks

  2. Oh my sweet country!!!! An advice please eat as much local food as you can. It a real food and very tasty!!!!! But mostly please eat fast food it is very different from the US try tacos from tacos de Lyon, burgers from brioche doree or the restaurant Katia and pizza from Regal or Piccolo Pizza. We borrowed the food and make it better 🫡🤣. Please enjoy

  3. I live close to the monument and I took the same way you took to the monument the last time I went home. Welcome to Senegal bro and it is interesting to see a brother from America go visit Africa. More black people should go visit Africa. It's a learning experience. There are many more places and nice beaches to see not only in Dakar but in the countryside. The weather is cool in Dakar in January February and Mars for people who want to avoid the heat in the summer time which is from June July all the way to November

  4. 2:37 the place he went to for lunch right next door of it it’s a ice cream shop called Blanche Neige. To me it’s one of the best in Dakar flavor wise, it’s not that fancy fancy as other ice cream shop in Dakar. It’s also the cheapest like 500cfa (.85 cents) per scoop and other ice cream shops starts at a 1000cfa. It’s good if you want some good ice cream and is on a budget or have many children.

  5. Just found you If only i did earlier would of welcomed you in Morocco but glad your experience wasn't that bad. Dekar looking beautiful tho ngl

  6. I felt like Dakar was a scam. All of these people praised it and it was not at all what they said. I loved the beautiful men I met there but that’s about it. The air quality was the worst, it was compelled chaos and inefficient. Decent food is way over priced. Everything else is super processed crap. And 80% of the city is a construction project that no one bothered to finish. And the music and dance scene is dead. It wasn’t what I expected at all.
Yeah and it’s super hot and no one selling anything to drink. It doesn’t go down like that in Colombia, Mexico, Costa Rica, etc.

  7. You are doing your thing Sly! You ever think about doing a live for the fans? Also you are always by yourself. Do you get lonely at times?

  8. I noticed the thieboudienne on the food menu. It's a great dish that I had from a Senegalese restaurant in NYC. You should give it a try!
