How to make an Ancient Egyptian inspired cocktail I Pleasant Vices recipe

In the third recipe video of the Pleasant Vices series Tasha is treating us to a cocktail inspired by the ancient Egyptian beer she made with Michaela and Susan in episode 3. Using an Alpha Beta ale Tasha makes her version of a Henket, a delicious ancient inspired blend to titillate your tastebuds. Cheers to that!

  1. I don't think those square bottles will be up to the presure (hense exploding!)
Swing-top Grolsch bottles should be much tougher, and they come with free beer inside!

  2. wow! It looks delish! Dogfish brewery makes a beer based on the residue from pots found in an ancient tomb on Crete which is also very tasty and uses similar flavors, if ya'll are too lazy to make this lol

  3. If the museum has a restaurant, I hope this is offered. If not, I hope you can persuade a nearby pub to offer it. Mesopotamian beer drinks recipes next?

  4. 1:20 Had to pause the video for a second there. I really thought she was casually like " Rose petals, Coriander seed, human seed and some sesame…"

You scared the sh*t out of me there xD

  5. How about a traditional mead recipe? The modern ones are over processed — I'd love to know what our beloved heathen ancestors actually had when dancing under the moon.
