  1. I was the only Black female in my entire grade, but I’m grateful for the experience. I was often the only or one of few Black people in spaces as an adult. I was the only Black female in my Navy unit, I was the only Black math major in my university….It prepared me for the bullshit, I’ll say that.

  2. I was one of two black kids in my high school and it was a normal experience for me. Everyone was great. My neighborhood was safe and I never had to worry about another kid that looks like me shooting at me in the hood.

  3. The same for predominantly white colleges too. It's not good for the child but sounds great to the parent. Parents check yourself and ask why you need that type of environment to validate you. Your child's total wellness is just as important as the quality of the education.

  4. 🤔 I never really thought about it that way: That while the parents are proud of an exclusive admittance and all braggadocious ~ Their child is noticed, every time, in a mental and sometimes physical torturous environment.

  5. She's more than 100% right. WHY? .. Because it is a shame that somebody has to say this "OUT LOUD" for someone to hear it. But it is necessary right now to call it out .. Will be GREAT when more people begin to think and ACT for themselves .. especially over "OBVIOUS" matters people!

  6. That’s only the nerdy black kids the athletic black kids are superstars in that neighborhood, everybody wants to hang out with those kids. They set the tone.

  7. I have to agree. We previously lived in an area majority of Hispanics, and we made to sure to move before our kids began attending school. I have the same sentiments with the school staff as well. Its not safe(in this country) for Black kids to only be in the hands of an all white school staff 🫠

  8. My daughter was forced to go to all white institutions and I believe that is why she's suffering from mental health today. Her mom is east African is has all had a destaind attitude towards black Americans. 😣☹️😡

  9. White people oppose equitable funding of a public school system so the predictable result is that education becomes a "commodity" that they control and one which can be withheld from black people unless it is provideded on white people's terms.

  10. Continuing to tear apart that child with oblivion yes oblivion their in a place where if you would ask them rather or not to be there you tell them that it’s for their own best interest now here comes the conformity with the oblivion to thoroughly mix up your child’s mind trying to act white in a white dominated world. You are the sick one escaping from your self

  11. I attended a predominantly H-WHYTE ✌🏾Christian ✌🏾 school 🏫 most of my formative & they hid their r@ci$m behind "Just like Jesus — I don't see color 🤷🏼 🙄!!' I experienced more r@ci$m — not to mention spiritual brainwashing with wyte Jesus 🧔🏻‍♀️ — than I ever did at public school where the population was 50👨🏿‍🦱/50 👱🏻‍♀️. And also, we moved to an all-white neighborhood when I was 10 y.o. which didn't help any.

  12. If you don’t live with Black people, you are NOT a part of a Black Community. There are many Black Communities: There is no such thing as “the” Black Community. Communities are formed by people who “live” together, not by people who live hundreds or thousands of miles from each other but happen to have similar skin pigmentations.

  13. THATS WHY I TELL MY YUNGIES WITH THESE SCHOLARSHIPS OR OFFERS GO SOMEWHERE THAT ACCEPTS YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE. MAKE SURE THE ATMOSPHERE IS RIGHT AND THE SCHOOL BENEFITS YOU AS MUCH AS YOU BENEFIT THE SCHOOL..IF YOU CANT GET WHAT YOU NEED FROM A PWI GO TO A HBCU.

  14. My hope is that black parents become more involved in their children's education, then there would be no need to send black kids to predominately white schools for what is perceived to be a better education for them. It has been proven that the schools that have the most parental involvement are the most successful schools.
