SHOCKING RITUALS with the MWILA TRIBE of ANGOLA

The Mwila are an African tribe living in the country of Angola. They’re most commonly known for their unique hairstyles and jewelry using cow dung, sea shells, and beads.

In this adventure we arrive the day before a big ritual in the village, and are quite shocked by what happens next.

  1. I appreciate you taking the time with these LaKee and explaining the meaning and process. It’s beautiful, yet brings up feeling of discomfort. But it’s that life? Great video

  2. Nothing shocking about this. But I am ignorant as I wasn’t aware that male circumcision is practiced in this part of the world. I feel like it could be overshadowed by society’s shock and outrage over female genital mutilation . I guess we learn something new every day.

  3. I actually agree and respect this 'right of passage' because it never made sense to me to do this to then when they're babies and just starting to grow…makes more sense this way…way more sense

  4. Really great video, enjoyed it very much. Especially liked the part where you killed the chicken and what you said about it after. Respect! My only criticism though… why blur out body parts, that's almost as bizarre as eating meat but not willing to kill the animal…

  5. Fun fact, the countries who stayed or had connections to angola and most of the pther cplp countries after portugal left stole more in 50 years than portugal in 500..

  6. Actually america and russia had already picked sides since the end of the fifties being america the first to send weapons and groups of americans saying they wanted freedom to give to everyone the idea that angola and the rest of the "ultramar" were better with america etc than with portugal, or basically an ideia of false independence, so in cabinda wich has the biggest oil reserves of africa, a oil refinary was rented to america, when portugal left angola and the other countries america gave it to one of the factions, that was the birth of sonangol, wich is the biggest oil company in angola

  7. Thank you for sharing, the more I see the more I want to travel again. To me that is the real way to live, there is so much to see in this big wide world, so much to experience.

  8. I Would travel the world. I just have no money, care to share some? I will happily explore the world after that. Give me 50k dollars and I definitely go on adventure

  9. Circumcision is one of many examples and methods of rights of passage and it is done in hospitals of modern cities too, and guess what😮 it's still painful even with the medical aid. So what's happening in this video is not an anomaly. Infact, what I appreciate is that they've taken a painful process and used it as a teachable moment on how to survive harsh and changing conditions. Unlike when a baby gets it done in the clinic and later on commits suicide cos they've been shielded from pain all their lives. I also appreciate everyone in the community has to also set aside a full month is solidarity. Dancing and singing is a form of prayer for us Africans. And this community did it for a whole month for healing of those kids. I only see such support in western communities when someone has cancer and a handful decide to shave off their hair.

  10. Love your videos! Everything os very intriguing and always has a lesson to learn from. I havent watched the news for probably about 2-3 years. Its nice to be somewhat oblivious and not consumed by mass information that isnt always factual. I have stopped using fb as well, best thing ever…you dont get so much BS rammed into your skull and you lessen the way you compare yourself to others.

Would love to do what you do, travelling and seeing the world. Love learning about cultures and especially people who dont live in modern day… Modern day living standards suck. Our lives from the outside definitely seem very boring, repetitive, cosumerised and just empty. Love how wholesome, traditional and simple lives are led outside modern civilization

  11. I KNOW YOU DRANK THE BLOOD FOR THE CHANNEL, BUT THE GOOD LORD SAYS NOT TO ANYMORE SO TRY NOT TO ONLY FOR YOUR LIFE 🧬 KEEP YOUR VESSEL CLEAN❤😊❤👍🏾✌🏾🙏🏾🌈
