Newsflash, the majority of African American men are not going to Africa. They are going to Asia, South America and Eastern Europe. Many African American men have seen too many videos of diasporans being scammed on the continent. She got nothing to worry about. Besides diasporan women that moved to the Gambia and Ghana have been unalived by the locals, so why would any more of us want to come?
As an African American man I don’t have issue with her request. I’ve been married for 27 years and my wife has never paid a bill in the house. However, if I was a Passport Bro, I would not go to Africa and pay for a modern woman… Let’s not act like the internet hasn’t infected the world. But as a world traveler meeting the family normally tells you a lot about who she is and how she was raised.

I agree. We need to fix ourselves first as a whole. I'm American but I've lived in Ghana and I have Ghanaians who have adopted me as family and I have listened to my Ghanaian sons complain about Ghanaian women they either want to date or marry just like I listened to my brothers at home. In order to marry Ghanaian men must pay a high bride price. Not all women are submissive, in Ghana, because I've heard several men say they desire a submissive woman.
Although in the US there is no bride price, women expect the man they marry will support them too especially if they have children together. Staying home and housekeeping, washing clothes, cooking, cleaning, and raising children is a job 24hour/7days whichever partner is doing it they should be compensated for it by the working spouse.
Not all American black women want to maintain a career some want to be stay-at-home moms just like many African women do.

I'm a second generation Finnish-American with a Yoruba fiancee who I've already paid the bride price for. I'm in the process of bringing her to the U.S. Obviously I have some thoughts here.
First, an American man seeking seeking an African wife should have a minimum $5,000 set aside prior to starting the process. It's going to cost a considerable amount of money.
Second, one of the primary reasons African wives are desirable is that they come from a conservative culture. They may look like African-Americans, but they are very different inside.
Third, don't expect an African woman to be docile. African women are strong, tougher than American women. What they've endured in Africa has strengthened them.
Four, for African women looking to come here, you're going to work. Only the wives of the very rich don't. Granted, it may just be part-time.
The thing about feminism is that it never deleted the feminine traditional roles in the continent, from what I’ve heard. Western women look down on feminine traditional roles especially western BW’s.
I’ve seen a clip of a black American woman telling other black American women that when it comes to femininity and being submissive, African women have y’all beat, y’all are not gonna win against them when it comes to that. She mentioned that for the black American women in Africa wanting an African man.
It’s not to say they can’t pull an African man, it’s just that African men aren’t gonna tolerate what black American men tolerate. African men come from a male hierarchy while black American men come from a female hierarchy.
And the sams would apply to African women coming from a male hierarchy while black American women come from a female hierarchy.
I guess Patriarchy is what maintains femininity instead of a Matriarchy.
