I wonder if @mkbhd will see this tag and maybe respond to my question at the end of this video 🤔

  1. After I set up my pristine Google Tasks boards, I saw that I had duplicated a few tasks. I looked for a search function.

There is no search function, so now I'm looking to Morgen as the next app to try. Wish me luck. lol

  2. I will say – I'm kind of in love with the Todoist/Morgen integration though. Tasks in Morgen don't feel feature rich enough yet, while the calender in Todoist is just getting off the ground. I'd love to use one or the other but right now I'd advocate for both. Todoist syncs to Morgen but Morgen doesn't sync to Todoist (without Zapier) but I find that's okay because I'm generally converting tasks to calender events for time blocking and not the other way around.

  3. The ONE thing that keeps me using the alarm app is that it still goes off when my phone is silent. Calendars and to-do apps don't do this which is a deal breaker for me.

  4. Hey mate you said in the video you aren't sponsored by Morgen, but you have a referral link listed in your description. You have an accent so I guess you are outside of the U.S. where there are different requirements for disclosures.

    I appreciate your videos.

  5. Well I wouldn't mind listening to you talk about Morgen for hours (seriously tho) cause I love Morgen as much as you do and I have find your systems with tasks quite helpful in my workflow as well.

  6. I recently found a crazy solution: Google Calendar + a5 notebook. Somehow having to write down the tasks makes it more likely to do the them 🤯

  7. I can relate to most of what you say. For me, most important is to have EVERYTHING in one view. I also use Morgen, but only for my calendar stuff, it has not tasks at the moment. I mostly use it for my work calendar and personal calendar to have them both on the same screen. As I have very few events on my calendar, I have my projects and tasks in Obsidian. I have a very simple system that works based on Daily Notes and normal vanilla Tasks (no Tasks plugin or Dataview). I don't do any sort of timeblocking / scheduling of Tasks. If a Task is due for a particular date (which they often are not, but they are prioritized so I do them in order of importance), it will appear on my Daily Note a little while before the due date so I can work on it.

I'm actually hoping Morgen will integrate Obsidian in such a way I can grab my ToDo's from Obsidian and have them in a sidepanel in Morgen. Once that happens I can schedule in Morgen. Currently I just think it's too much work to maintain both Obsidian and Morgen tasks wise. I use Obsidian because my tasks often 'produce' quite some extra information like communication logs, attachment of various kinds etc.

I see you have obsidian links in your tasks as well. Is that a link to a note in Obsidian with more information? How do you get them in Morgen, manually copying?
