Everything the Media is Getting Wrong About the College Protests

Until a month ago, college students in America were dweeby snowflake liberals, too socially anxious to notify the waiter of an incorrect order. Now, they’re allegedly well-connected, well-funded terrorists. Who are the students protesting for Palestine, what do they want, and why is the media obsessed with misrepresenting them?

  1. Thank you for speaking out, not enough influencers and content creators have said anything at all. I have just found you, and you have just gained a new follower. Free Palestine!

  2. A similar police raid happened to a protester camp at DePaul university which I walk by on my way home. I saw the fencing and gates to the area that once held the tents blocked off, with police tape lining the borders. There were around 7 police vans with approximately 50-60 cops standing around the area. I asked some protesters and they said that the raid happened pretty early in the morning. I find it quite baffling that universities, which often parade themselves as bastions of free thought, would silence these protesters to this degree, and I would say that it is quite frightening.

  3. The University of Arizona is having the same issue as all college campuses, but there's so many people dehumanizing the Palestinian protestors, the absurd administration responses, and defending the war that I feel going insane. So much horrible violence happening at and around the university nearly every year and these protests have been the only thing the university significantly responds to more than just writing of a "heavy heart" and "best wishes." Thank you for keeping me sane.

  4. One piece of dialogue I've seen coming up is people making fun of "Queers for Palestine" or any LGBT people supporting Palestinians. Sure Palestinians tend to be Muslim. From my limited education, there's plenty of people that would be anti-LGBT there. But why does this mean LGBT people can't be against genocide? You could even take it as a sign a person is taking the higher road, by supporting the end of violent war while setting aside moral differences.

  5. Yes!! Do not engage with people just trying to bring the worst out of you or twist your words!! This goes for us survivors of abusive personal relationships as well as us survivors of an abusive status quo

  6. It looks like the media and government are ever more desperate to characterize protesters as violent and associated with Hamas. Why are they so very afraid that we in the US will realize that Israel is committing genocide? I feel like we're being heavily gaslighted by our own press and government.

Thank you, Matt, for verifying that I'm not crazy on this subject. You are doing good work and I hope you feel better sooner than soon.

I cannot express my gratitude further than just a like and a comment yet; I'm heavily in debt, but I hope to be able to do the Patreon thing someday for all of the small, yet vital commentators here on the 'Tube.

  7. Thank you for making this despite feeling unwell. I hope that you get better soon, and I hope that videos like these can ease the spread of misinformation.

  8. Those students are my heroes, they be beaten out there by now worldwide, meanwhile I'm just listening to music, ocassionally something for palestine or someone with an opinon from "way back when and other minorities…also donating to UFPA, UNRWA and any donation that doesn't need a CVV from me bc my Months for now are still longer than my money.
Hoping, praying, manifesting that changes soon, even though I have no clue how and how I'll be content with it, knowing where that money goes…now. 🤮 🤮

  9. I want to create a new political party that is neither DEMOCRAT nor REPUBLICAN, but for the actual average person who just wants the truth. Because I’m tired of being in a political system where there’s only two choices and your vote doesn’t even count because of the electoral college. I want to say to the decent people, step outside your comfort zone and run for office because it would change the world.

  10. My Dad is a Liberal, but unfortunately he watches CNN and MSNBC. He’s always saying he doesn’t care about Palestine because they have been fighting for decades. I was once brainwashed by them until I started watching YouTube news channels.

  11. Idk if you get into it but just got to the part where you're talking about Ted Cruz and George Soros and I think it's important to remember that Balfour, the guy that literally had his name to the declaration of British support for an Israeli state was antisemitic. He supported the creation of a Jewish state because it meant Jews would LEAVE Britain. Antisemitism was and still is the reason Zionists are supported in their colonial endeavours. If Israel no longer exists then where will the Jews go? Europe and the US most likely, and there are a LOT of people that do not want that – hence why they support Israel so strongly. Its racism all the way to the ground and its fucking gross

  12. To priviledged US kids who grew up in a progressive country…please listen to folks from the region…listen to Iranians, for example, who live under a brutal theocracy, listen to how that regime came into power…they preyed upon the good intentions and 'bleeding hearts' of people…
It is Hama's strategy to incur a lot of civilian casualties…you simply do not know enough about the region…the Muslim Brotherhood is about as dark as it gets…Israel is not perfect but they are a progressive nation. Would you rather live in Tel Aviv or Tehran for example. Take the Houthis up on their offer and get an education in Yemen, see if you would last a day there….this is the darkness that is mixed in here.
And this queer content creator, do you know what would happen to him if he went to an Islamic theocracy…he would be thrown off a building…for real!
I do agree that trying to get information these days that is just neutral these days is virtually impossible, but that is a much larger issue than just Israeli/Hamas war.
There is so much more to know about what is going on that just being emotional about civiliians getting caught in this war…yes, it is horrific…then why does Hamas not let them take shelter in the tunnels? Why don't the Egyptians open their border? Stop demonizing Israel, watch Oct 7 footage for 'a balance of horrors'.

  13. As an Afghan, I'm fed up with you Western LGBTQs trying to hijack the Palestine movement. The Palestine movement is inherently an ISLAMIC issue rather than a land issue. When we say free Palestine, we also mean free Palestine from the haram LGBTQ agenda promoted by Western zionist kaffirs.

  14. Literally every outside agitator has been counterprotesters (at least at my school). There is not a single student who is counterprotesting; it’s all middle aged people

  15. It makes me laugh that conservatives suddenly care about antisemitism like bro before this war you were calling Jewish people lizards, we haven’t already forgotten 💀😭

  16. Here's the thing though: "It is not antisemetic to criticize Israel's apartheid state and genocidal actions." Yes. "There has been an increase in antisemitic incidents on college campuses." Also yes. TWO THINGS CAN BE TRUE AT THE SAME TIME.
