  1. Don't be fooled South Africa is now short supplying neighbouring countries which we usually supply and they now have major power cuts, all in the pursuit of gaining brownie points in light of the upcoming elections, these issues that have been mounting for years and believing that it would be resolved in a few months with the history of this government would be a bit short sighted 🙄

  2. As soon as the elections are over and demand for power rises over the winter months, the very season together with its high demand will be used as an excuse for the return of consistent and crippling blackouts. Corruption will resume as low grade coal returns leading to a diminished output of the power stations. Funds appropriated for critical and regular maintaince will be misappropriated and units one after another units will begin to shut down. The entire system will begin to buckle under the pressures of neglect and mismanagement and if we're lucky, we will find ourselves back at square one.

  3. Power on when it suits politicians, power off to execute plans + to get ppl to agree with whatever these plans are. Who cares if it sends the economy straight down the drain + scores of ppl losing their jobs? Politicians should by now know, citizens do not trust whatever they come up with.

  4. "Short-term pain, Long-term gain". This phrase gives me chills because This Eskom`s plan during this no-loadshedding period so ANC can win.
