  1. Some people are evils in they’re soul they still practice slavery and cheap labour in our country.where is human rights commission.some people must be sued.zimbabwe and Malawi and Mozambique must explain why they’re people are here illegally to be slave in South Africa.people must sued

  2. If the Construction Industry Development Board (cidb), a schedule 3A public entity, is governed by government then ultimately the Public Works Minister Zikala bears the blame for not running a cadre tender tight ship, and he should be dismissed. If not, someone at the top of the management chain failed.

  3. Now the second tragedy in South Africa, where foreign nationals feature heavily. The first tragedy, the Joburg building fire, involved illegal occupation by foreign nationals, and now the George building collapse, where allegedly overwhelmingly foreign nationals were employed, and died. And just today, we hear the unemployment rate for South Africans is at its highest level yet. These companies employ undocumented foreign nationals, as a way to circumvent employing South Africans, which means the payment of UIF and other labour protections, including safety measures. These companies, are basically involved in just another form of human exploitation and trafficking. The Western Cape Department of Labour really dropped the ball here, just like the City of Johannesburg. Imagine how many more undocumented foreign nationals work without labour and safety regulations, at building sites all over the country, while South Africans languish at home, without jobs.

  4. Beke Cele has not sent a single word of condolence to the families of the 87 people that are murdered each day in South Africa. So the developers are just following his example. They learn from the best.

  5. Siyanicela nibatshele abaholi benu ukuthi kulungile ukukhuluma izilimi zesintu abazaziyo – lesingisi akusona esakithi ngakhoke siyasehlula; ikakhulukazi uZikalala.

  6. What a mess. Major cover up going on . Corrupt construction industry falling apart at the seams. And greedy developers cutting vorners with cheap, illegal labour. What could possibly go wrong? Who's going to pay compensation to the workers????

  7. It is clear that the construction industry, is not controlled strictly enough. Contractors are not registered with NHBRC but they are erecting building daily and do contract work daily. Something needs to be done

  8. This genius cannot even read his own speech and clearly don't know what he's talking or reading about. This unfortunately is the ANC government getting involved in a matter nothing to do with them for political gain. Surely the professionals involved with the project knows what they are doing and it is time we wait for the investigation to be handled by professionals and get to the truth. Ministers and other politicians should now move on and respect the dead. This is not a place for cheap politics.

  9. Is the Western Cape the only construction tragedy that ever happened in South Africa? The ish these ANC people really think South Africans are stupid
