  1. The director Roschdy Zem excelled himself when he made this film. I have been lucky enough to get a English subtitled version. Based on real life ,the French film industry are especially good at producing this kind of film. Especially important today as it has ever been.

  2. Chocolat was a fine noble and talented man destroyed by the society by the standards to divide people according to the skin colour.. it's sad like he devoted himself to the work because his circus numbers were funny but the people laughed about the numbers because African couldn't be considered as a whole and equal human being

  3. FYI – For those who are in the US, it's now available on Amazon Prime Streaming Video under the title "All Out." Great movie! To narrow the search, you'll need to do a search on "All Out Omar Sy." You'll need to turn the English subtitles on before watching it.

  4. This film looks really good. I'd love to see it! However, I'm in the US and can't find it for streaming nor in a Region 1 USA/Canada DVD or Blue-Ray. It only comes in a multi-regional disc and we need a special multi regional player to play it that I don't have.

  5. It is a good movie, amusing and worth to watch if you don't know or prefer not to bother yourself knowing anything of the true history of the first black clown of the France of the turn of the 20th century. No one is asking punctilious accuracy in a biopic. Probably both lives, chocolate's and his mentor Footit's, as they were etched in the grain of the everydayness of the "Belle Époque" seemed uninteresting to the producers to be portrayed as a movie, for they crafted a fantastic yarn that would make both celebrities turn around in their graves.
