There are no Woolworths left in America. They closed here in 1997. I was surprised to hear there was a Woolworths store in Kampala. Great video! 🙂
Too many bikes.
No
It looks nice very clean
What strikes me is that the streets are quite clean. Very positive
Do I have to change flight in Nairobi , Kenya if I want to go to Uganda ? Thank you .
Are these the racist people that hated the success of the Indians even though Indians contributed the country’s wealth?
Ok, pure truth here, Uganda is a sh*t hole country. Period. Do not EVER go there! Period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sir I appreciate the content for you unique approach to uganda. Me and my wife are looking to relocate
to this region.
This is why are country's going down the toilet these people are coming to the UK
I am not interested in homophobic country.
Beautiful city. Thanks for sharing. As an Iranian I fully understand how the media can be biased and not display realities of places that the Western countries have political issues with – and all about resources and power struggles. Fortunately, the world is not accepting imperialism and their world order to the same extent as before. This means more prosperity for more people. 💪
I am always surprised how blind people look at Kampala! I work there since seven years! Kampala is full of criminals, cheaters, thiefs and Korruption! Very many people driving without a driving license others has bought it and has no knowledge of trafic roules! Cars trucks and industry are moving without any Katalysator or filters!
health centers work with fake certificates and licenses, very many diagnosis are wrong!
Kampala looks beautiful. Love from Brazil

If you just relied on traditional media, you'll only see the bad side of Africa (for the most part). Didn't expect Kampala to be this progressive, orderly and clean. I'm sure there's some bad areas, just like anywhere else in the world. But this is a breath of fresh air. Glad to see the progress of our African bothers.
~ love from The Philippines
Thank you for posting travels.
Don't think it is a safe place to be
Strange, as an Essex boy born and bred, this reminds me of England in the 70s before we became the United Kingdom of America. Now there's loads of fat scruffy people everywhere you go. Also your streets are a lot cleaner, there's rubbish littered everywhere here.
So what exactly is shocking? I cannot find anything shocking.
that is not a true picture of the city. I have lived there for 13 years and it was a traumatic experience. Just branch of from the main road, lets say at freedom city or close to clock tower to the left and make an absolute horror trip which you will never forget. I did not know that people can live in such mess, chaos and untidiness until I witnessed it with my own eyes. You can also branch off to from the Entebbe road lets say at Kizubi and you will realize that it is all a show. Behind the main road there is the big nothing. the potholes are so bad these days that people campaigned against the city council and it took them months to start repairing. As they lacked the money it had to be financed by the African development bank. What did they do? The army started filling some potholes with maram. how long will it last. Well until the next heavy downpour. The president seems concerned but he is also very much concerned that he gets a new fleet of cars and they are not cheap. so you are portraying a picture which is not accurate. Also the new fly over is built and financed by the japanese as most of the money donated disappears. Northern bypass the same issue but here you might face some other more criminal issues.

you can also try to drive from Munyonyo to the city center and you will realize that the whole tarmacked road has disappeared within I would say 2 to 3 years. Any repair planned, not that I knew.
Also the railway where 400 m USD have disappeared and nothing has been done for the last 5 years or so.

Such a difference verse the ones we have in the US. Educated, unexpecting, wholesome.
I notice 7:58' the Total French petrol station with its greeting in FR. Total is everywhere in Africa and doesn't even use local languages or EN in countries where it is the official language. Screw French neocolonialism.
The comments show the guy is detached from reality. Particularly retarded was the comment "This leads to excessive car traffic and conjestion(sic), and it sends land prices through the roof." How does moving people out of downtown lead to inflated land prices? I would also challenge the writer of that particular statement to justify the idea that traffic is increased by people not living downtown. Maybe he thinks rich people would walk to work downtown? lol If that were even likely, that is what would raise the price of land.
I lived in Kampala and it was the best years of my life. Worked in banking ❤❤❤
looks better than San Francisco oor any other liberal run cities in the USA
uh, it's just endless traffic like everywhere else ???
Wow !
It is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Help as many of your people as you can to move there.
Did that dude at 4:58 give you the middle finger? Why?
boring
I found Kampala Road on Google, looking exactly the same as on your video. Not sure what you're trying to imply or stir up, but smells much like bullshit to me
WTF is shocking here?
I am scratching my head here. What exactly is shocking? What is so surprising? This is a standard fare across Africa, except in the poorest countries. What did you expect? To see people swinging from trees and wearing palm fronds in downtown Kampala?? Were you expecting to see tree houses??
motorbikes cheapen every place. from asia to africa. it looks tacky. argue with me otherwise if you can
why shocking
enjoyed that
The music is to much dude at the entro!
No traffic lights and the traffic seems to be flowing
