  1. Does NUJP really for journalism? Or for bias alliance. This organization only vocal for the shutdown of ABS CBN and issues of Rapplers. But for the political attack against SMNI are silent.

  2. ABS-CBN was SHUTDOWN because of an expired franchise and more cases not to mention the tax evasion itself… CNN you been shutdown because of financial constraints or losses… don’t blame it to the others deennngggg….

  3. Viewers now have access to more online news sources which are real-time and interactive. Verification is easier and time has proven the unreliability and biases of traditional news outlets. NUJP, along with the mainstream media, has shown its partisanship when it has remained silent until now on very serious issues affecting the country such as the scandalous liquidation by certification of the MOOE and the billions of pesos for travel expenses of congress. So, yes, it is also a trust issue.

  4. Cutting parts of interviews, changing the whole context, and/or even the malicious transformation of certain information by the media because of personal interests causes misinformation and disinformation. For as long as there is both money and power involved in the field (whether it be in the government, media, business sector, etc.), it will definitely be a dirty game considering the variables you can't control. In other words, life is full of hypocritical shit especially if you know you have something to lose.

  5. It s not because of ABSCBN CLOSURE. people nowadays prefer using their mobile phones including me then my mga short videos ng news na like ANC i only watch the short min videos may mga parts dun na un lang piapanuod ko. Mga tao ngayun nawwili na sa phone at tiktok…

As a viewer d na ako nanunuod ng tv kahit sa bahay they dont watch news na bbuksan lang tv kahit may teleserye na then off ang tv at kanya2 na silang cp.

CNN ung last episode lang pinapanuod ko minsan ung kay rico hizon and the rest i dont watch na. Intl.news na Ko shift after like wion at vantage etc.

  6. In my opinion, the media in the Philippines are totally shrinks like anything's ball game. GMA Network now as the most dominant TV network in the country that's unfair competition along the viewers just like me (as an avid GMA viewer for many years & now as a fed-up staunch critic of the TVJ-TAPE Feud because of the Jalosjoses taking over TAPE). Then ABS-CBN has a fair competition with other networks despite the shutdown they show their sheer determination & freedom of media competency they must deserve to revive the franchise if the Congress must changed their hearts, even SkyCable going for a transition to ISP (internet service provider) due to acquisition by MVP's PLDT-Smart will be out of service by Feb. 27 that affects millions of cable subscribers including me. TV5 meanwhile will undergo franchise review with the Congress with some kind of violations something? While CNN Philippines are now shutting down by midnight there are now another loss in Philippine media due to financial losses. In my prediction not a spoiler, I think De Guia-led TAP DMV will taking over CNN Philippines & the frequencies of RPN-9 will renamed as "TAP News" as this same news channel with their dual language & their commentary in politics as CNN PH does. In the SMNI meanwhile, I'm totally strongly support the revocation of the franchise because of right-wing conspiracy theories, alleged red-tagging & hate speech becoming as their modern-day fascist movement by televangelist turned criminal defendant Pastor Apollo Quiboloy ruining Filipino viewers others so called "Marites". SMNI must to be shutting down for good they share as their fate as ABS-CBN they give them an instant karma & bring the frequency back to ABS-CBN.

Here's my proper outcomes in Philippine media:
    – In the House or Senate, lawmakers will conduct hearings on media due to overwhelming outrage of Filipino viewers including the shutting down CNN PH & Sky Cable. Then, an oversight investigation of the violations of SMNI this could led to revocation, termination & shutting down this far-right network for good.
    – Another hearing & investigation of the violations of the Jalosjos Family-led TAPE Inc. this could led their family sell-out or termination of the blocktime agreement with GMA Network & bringing back by the founding fathers of "Eat Bulaga!" TVJ. And GMA Network issues an official renegotiation statement that bringing back "Eat Bulaga!" on GMA.
    – For ABS-CBN, this is the moment for a beacon of light for a franchise revival that the Filipino viewers praying, anxiously waiting for… the House Committee on the Legistlative Franchises set to hear a new 25 or 30-Year franchise aggreement that endorsed by the House Chambers including the Makabayan Bloc & set a landslide vote but Makabayan Bloc declares Sagip Partylist Rep. & right-wing conspiracy theorist Rodante "Mr. Franchise Killer" Marcoleta to CENSURED to vote & after the vote & Pres. Marcos Jr.'s signature, ABS-CBN will finally back on their TV screens restoring all of the frequencies includes the regional affiliates/radio stations, a free-TV sports channel & their OTT-based channels & bringing back over 12,000 employees including layoffs from CNN PH will join ABS-CBN.
    – Then, House Ethics Commitee will investigate the criminal violations of Rodante Marcoleta this could led his expulsion & jail time.

  7. There may be reduction of mainstream news media but more on non mainstream like youtube podcasts and more accessible with the use of cellphones laptops and tablets.

  8. CNN shutdown caused by financial problem. Is this credible. or cause by someone from malacanang like what happened to the shutdown of various FB accounts.

  9. She just said it… she was part of the movement to oust Estrada…media should be neutral and she just said she is not. That’s why nobody wants traditional media because bias and activist media like this woman.
