"You can never stop that fight…" aka You can never stop asking for more handouts.
Imagine going to Church and they tell you to be selfish 😂
These people are going to Hell
So much racism in these comments
Education starts at home. Period. If you don't have time to educate and teach them, then don't have them. Very easy
What did Malcolm say about devils?😊
Whiter
Smaller schools seem more focused and more beneficial for the students. The greedy teachers unions are the only ones against the idea. The teachers unions have to be disbanded.
This school system has been around since 1880, but only since about 2014 have white people in Baton Rouge been seriously fighting to get a new district because of . . . crime? This is what I've been reading in these news stories. They're trying to leave because of "crime" and low-rate education. But if crime is one of the problems, then why would they keep sending their kids there? No responsible, concerned parent is going to keep sending their kids to a crime-ridden school district if they can help it. They'll take their kids out of the school altogether or just move somewhere else. It seems like something else has spooked white parents in Baton Rouge. And in other places. Even in Atlanta white parents were trying to create a city for themselves, because they decided they wanted a new school district. Just strange that the same thing is happening in two different states.
Louisiana is a trash state
St. GEORGE, the shining city on the hill ⚪️ 🤍 👍🏼
The existence of suburbs in every major American city is proof you can't FORCE people to integrate. Frontline seems very surprised by this obvious fact.
She says we can do wonderful things together, ok, how long should we wait? 100 years?
Why is it our responsibility to prop up the black community indefinitely? They have to stand on their own at some point.
Wow! These folks have been going at it for a while trying to separate and finally got it done. I get it. No one wants to be called a racist but many of them claim to be God-fearing and/or Christian and to that I call B.S. WHETHER THEY WANT TO ADMIT IT OR NOT THEIR ACTIONS OF CREATING THIS NEW CITY WILL UNDERMINE COMMUNITIES AND PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN DISENFRANCHISED FOR DECADES. This American idea of land of the free and equality has come so close to reality many times across our history all but to fall back time and time again thanks in part to people who ultimately want to segregate themselves from others who aren’t like them or don’t have the same means they do. That’s not Christ-like. Fine, take race out of it for a moment. These actions do not align with how God wants us to look out and advocate for one another. But the reason why it’s hard to remove race is because societal disparities and the wealth gap in this country are divided by racial lines thanks to policies and practices from the past that are still impacting us today. We can be in denial all we want to about that but it’s real. I’m tired of the lies and false truths. Just say you don’t want to go to school with Black, Brown, and poor people. I might not think that much of you as a person, but I can respect the fact that you’re telling your truth.
There needs to be a better TIERED school system. Gifted Schools for the academically gifted, trade schools for the techically gifted, schools for those in the middle.
Segregation is the result of HIGH ECONOMIC INEQUALITY. You can pass laws all you want outlawing segregation.
But as long ss there continues to be a high WEALTH GAP which is the Institutionally enforced.
They need to do better on everything
The problem that needs to be addressed is the aggressive racism
How about a group of people who just want the best for their children. Regardless of the decline of the African American nuclear family.
Frontline is serving cake and I’m in line 🥲 these documentaries are on fire
LOL. Black folk wanted they own city and they got it. y so mad?
It's not brick and mortar that make a school successful. It's who's sitting in the classroom. If anyone thinks sitting in a class with white kids is some sort of assurance your child is getting a good education is laughable! If you're a do-nothing parent, apples don't fall from the tree. Teachers don't want to spend their instructal day trying to convince a child this concept called behavior. Behavior starts at home with the child's first teacher, the parent. If you want more for your child then be more for your child.
Brown is the board and the board is brown.
12:23 I can't believe this man's way of thinking continues to be entertained. I thought we were past this. Am I surprised that we're not? Not at all.
@12:27 – One of the problems with our society is that, in poorer schools, the principal wouldn't have said, "Boy, do you want me to call your daddy?". He would have said, "the police are on their way". One mistake is all it takes, and the age at which one small mistake can ruin your life gets younger with each passing year. People in more affluent schools, however, often get a LOT more chances to shape up.
That said, I think the bigger issue here is that the schools don't need to be segregated by race. There are good and bad black kids and good and bad white kids. What they need is to separate by BEHAVIOR. If you start fights, you get sent to a different school. If you have stellar behavior, you get upgraded to a better school the following year. Rewards for those who earn it, and an incentive to want to learn. Also, more focus on behavioral issues for those who have self-control issues. Don't impede the learning of everyone else (black or white) because someone wants to live the "thug life" (again, whether black or white).
Also, limit the teacher-to-student ratio (not including admin, as they aren't the actual teachers). No classroom should have more than 12-15 students per teacher, most especially with behavior challenges. How is a teacher supposed to teach more than a dozen children at once when there are behavioral issues at play? Sure, in a well-behaved class, you could probably go up to 20 students per teacher, but, in exchange, those kids should get more field trips to offset the fact that there are more students per teacher. A class made up of the best behaved children could do that, and it'd give even more incentive to children to behave and earn their way into the class. The downside is that such a class would exclude many children with mental illness, and that's sad for those kids, but if the mentally-ill children struggle to behave in class taking them on field trips (where a meltdown is even MORE likely) seems wildly irresponsible. Instead, those mentally-ill children need the benefit of in-school therapy sessions with licensed professionals, with an emphasis on teaching them to develop the self-control needed for normal, productive, adult life.
The reason this is not how they separate the schools is because the white kids, in my experience, like the cause trouble just as much if not more than the black ones. In such a system a child of someone who makes half a million a year might end up in a school with poor kids because they are entitled and can't behave. Conversely a child from the "hood" might get a place at the best school over some rich person's white kid who isn't as smart (or trying as hard). Those who are affluent tend to want their property taxes to ONLY benefit their kids, not those who are poorer. This is why I think schools should get funded based on the number of students served. Why should a school in one area get $3,000 per student while a school in another area gets $10,000 per student? That's discrimination, plain and simple. Additionally, property taxes are exploitative and often unjustly drive seniors out of their homes when they can't keep up with the taxes on the minuscule Social Security payments (especially after they price-gouged to death by the cost of their medications).
22:04 Stolen land.
They must love this only one black man on their side. Have them pay everything by their property taxes- everything.
Aye look imma say this: Black people and their school aged children need our own educational system that is created by us and for us so that we can be more enlightened as a people. Is so evident that the white parents in this documentary WANT THEIR OWN SCHOOLS and EDUCATIONAL CURRICULUM. Let them have what they want! I just wish that more of my people would fully invest in education and hire some top African Scholars in addition to other world renowned scholars to work along side the many dedicated and highly educated black teachers in the inner city schools. Theres plenty of money and resources to go into this massive educational mission and its lots of qualified individuals too. We have to stop being so dependent on the white race for stuff and having to run to them for their dollars and help smh.
On April 29, 2024, the Louisiana Supreme Court ruled 4-3 in favor of the proposed City of St. George, Louisiana, which will be the state's first new city in almost 20 years. The court ruled that the incorporation plan was reasonable and would provide residents with proper public services. St. George will be a city of almost 100,000 people, making it one of Louisiana's largest cities.
A man who don’t want to take care of his child is a “deadbeat” – a woman “pro choice”
integration didn't work
the left ideology (also embraced at PBS) is leading the segregation
The Biden Admin & the Lefties are sending your money overseas to other countries instead of teaching our children!!
I’ve listened to enough of this program to come to this conclusion and it is this. If you are the public school system and you want your children to be successful then you need to teach them business. You need to teach them taxes and you need to teach them Investing. You also need to teach them how not to get in debt. You need to teach them how to use debt to fuel there Aspirations in terms of business so that debt is used correctly.
When these students that these administrators are training, get out into the work and they take their places and I’m getting ready to retire. What are these students going to be capable of doing?
Based on what I’ve seen young people do since I am now in the midst of my career time, I see them complaining I see them talking about getting high all the time and I see them not being very motivated to go anywhere because they’ve been programmed to be poor by the school system.
This has been my experience in Illinois and it hasn’t gotten any better since the 1990s when I went to school and so I asked one simple question to the administrators who were interviewed in this program and that is this .
Are you guys ever going to change and are you willing to take the time to train successful people to be business people or are you going to continue to train workers for work and jobs that no longer exist?
This is not the 1900s where is the rage yet? You guys continue to teach students that a dirt floor is the greatest thing in the world and yet we have people graduating high school school who can’t even read or calculate which means they can’t use basic skills to start a business nor can they Achieve levels of success that are beyond imagination and the question remains. Are you guys going to change the way you teach so that students of the next generation can be highly successful and donate to their school system that is what successful schools do and that is what successful school systems do, which means that the idea that segregation is getting in the way Could be true and possibly is true however if you want the school system to be supported by the students, then you have to create successful people and that’s not one student and every thousand that’s 950 students in every thousand who are highly successful entrepreneurs business owners Wall Street Titans who can donate $1 million to your school district who can participate in philanthropy because they’ve been properly trained about how money works
To anyone who read this comment, I commend you forgetting this far. I just hope that if you are a parent and you have the opportunity to train your children, I would hope that you train them how to utilize money and how to make their money work for them so they’re not spending their entire lives working as employees for someone who in the end Very likely won’t really care about their future
I’ve worked for a few people like that where they only care about the wealth that they have or I should say the riches of this world that they have and they don’t really care about the people who they hurt and so they will come and they will lay people off, just like that without any warning and so if those people don’t have any savings or if they’re out of work too long, they end up using unemployment as a crutch
First, If mom is on crack, and dad is missing, the bus you ride to school is irrelevant. Secondly, most of the alleged benefits of diversity are complete and total BS as defined by law. Diversity of thought is critical and necessary…but diversity based on skin color only is a waste of time.
I bet their sports programs become very integrated
The black pastor co-signing to soothe their egos!Racist white ppl gaslighting folks to believe that race isn’t a “thing” is, is always irritating😂! Also incredibly annoying because diversity literally never hurt anyone. What are the my so so afraid of??
Talk about taking your ball and going home. Instead of staying and trying to fix their local school district and ensure the right people are making decisions (local school board elections tend to be decided by tens or hundreds of votes) they'd rather pull the rug out from everyone else who cant afford to go elsewhere.
And to the folks who ask why their tax dollars should go to other people's kids, because we live in a society and have a collective responsibility to ensure we all thrive, part of which includes ensuring the general population has adequate educational opportunities. If you think otherwise then stop using tax funded roads, utilities, infrastructure, etc. and figure it out on your own in some back wood.

In the book Entitled: "The Law of Vibration – On the Healing Waters of Silita, Mberere (Series III), one is bound to find out more about the impact of Brown vs. Board of Education especially not only amongst the colored people in this country, but also the true and practical experience of immigrants. Thank you for this very informative piece. 🎉❤🎉😊🎉🎉🎉
Take all the taxes from a state and disburse the funds to schools on the basis of school enrollment. Without regard to school district. That's the only way forward with integrated schools
An angry old white guy in the south saying it has nothing to do with race is patently obsured
I'm not American, have never been to America but ambitious and high achievers are always frustrated by non ambitious people. I'm a member of our school management board and the most exasperating thing is parents who have adopted free ranging pasture model of parenting. To them the school is a dumping ground for their children and they have absolutely no interest in improving their lot. Due to their bad attitude the school loses pupils to other schools who are disciplined and better performers.
White people are trying to roll back civil rights. Racism is alive and well.
My brother teaches in this district. The public school system is broken. You shouldn't have to leave your neighborhood for a quality education.
Can we be honest here? Would the 'well to do' tax payers be separating from baton rouge if the general population of my demographic promoted schooling? If crime wasnt so damn bad? if school wasn't so dangerous for kids? teachers in these 'urban' areas are at their wits end! these kids are fighting their teachers, being disruptive and aren't interested in a decent education. They always make it seem like this is how inner city schools are. calm, respectful kids just begging for a proper education…..the truth is, these kids and their parents don't care. This is victim propaganda. It sucks that the kids that DO want to learn are overshadowed by the degeneracy but they're the minority in that category and I know that as a black woman. This honestly has less to do with skin tone specifically and more about morals and values. They want to create a community of like minded individuals who prioritize a positive future for their kids. They want a proactive police force. Successful small businesses and less violence all around.
Aww the principal getting emotional really got me. He cares about his kids so much.
"We have a black president" says the guy that definitely didn't vote for the black president.
