Climbing Mount Kenya | Africa's 2nd Highest Mountain
In truth, I was more apprehensive about climbing Mount Kenya than cycling Cairo to Cape Town. Mount Kenya is a serious mountain, at least twice the height of anything I’ve taken on in the past.
To find mountains as high as Mount Kenya, you’ll have to look outside Europe. This was a serious climb.

The real summit is behind you! Point Lenana is just a high altitud trekking 570 meters below the real summit called Batian.
Yeah, I don't sleep well at these altitude levels… It's a stunning experience but nights are dreadful..
I live right here in Nanyuki. The cold can keep you awake the whole night, can't imagine how much worse it was for you guys!

This goes to the top of Lenana which is a sub peak on the side of Mount Kenya. The actual summit of Mount Kenya can be seen at 17:13. It is a technical rock climb to summit Mount Kenya and so the tourists are not taken there.
