Always adored ALEX , as a older lady observing a young man supporting his wife and being so impressed by your shared team work, but absolutely moved to right sincere gratitude to your both being so open about your experiences and sharing that in the hope that it helps others. Everyone just wishes to be heard. For someone else to fully engage, without judging and to be able to share their experience ~ when itβs dismissed and not valued the person is left with further pain, and turmoil and perhaps further shame and the issues are deepened and the sense of healing is made harder. Your parents perhaps didnβt have the tools to hear your fully. They are perhaps not able for those kinds of talksβ¦ but other people are and itβs absolutely fantastic that you have found a counsellor/ therapist that is equipped to hear you , as well as close friends and Victoria. Be proud of yourself Alex and be proud of each other for working through theses episodes together that really is a wonderfully loving and mature way to do this. Great you are aware of what and who is helping. Love to you both β€
Outfit deets, please and thank you!
yes to the net a porter haul β€
Hope this helps Alex.. iβm a woman but thatβs irrelevant & struggle with mental health (i mean who doesnt these days) but whatβs helped me is to refer to it as βbrain healthβ, which creates less stigma.. compared to this narrative youβre mentally fβed up. The brain is a muscle that needs to be exercised regularly just like the body & training it & learning the tools to deal with lifeβs struggles is crucial. Youβre right your brain lies to you everyday. Read Dr Amenβs books – Change your brain every day. He has a million others & his podcast is π―!!
black jumper the jeans and the pointed chelsea boots outfit and the blue shirt really reminds me of a cool male lead singer of a band haha iβd look horrific in all of it x
Hi Victoria! Iβm not sure if you will ever see this but this video REALLY spoke to me and Iβm currently watching Alex open up and sobbing. My person also suffers in the same way and I just am so sad that he feels that way. Itβs nice to hear there are others who have similar experiences. β€β€ sending lots of love
Anyone who works from home full time will absolutely understand the need for nice house shoes!! ππ₯
Thank you for sharing this Alex, that is so amazing of you and was also truly inspiring.
Iβm loving the new direction youβve taken the vlog. More of this!! π€
i loved this video, the beginning the way Alex edited it, it really feels like im watchingn Gossip Girl or S* and the City, Loved it!!
The prettiest pin cushion π it came out insanely beautiful
Me and my partner have a βruleβ when you need to talk about something that is bothering you mentally/emotionally and itβs honestly the key to a good and supportive relationship.
Whenever me or my partner needs to open up and talk, the other person always ask βdo you need solutions or do you need a listener?β
Thank you for speaking about this and for sharingπ©΅
Please do a video on how to embrace your beautiful style but on a budget π
What do we want?
More Alex
When do we want it?
NOW
Great podcast. Such a nice blend of fashion, chats, a day in your life
Love this conversation! Alex needs a podcast!!!
Love love love this videoβ¦ bless Alex, thank you.. and the net a porter β€ .. Iβm not a fan of brown suede boots but youβve changed my mind with the pairing with the gorgeous brown knit!! X
Thanks soo much for sharing Alex.
Thanks soo much for sharing Alex.
The new editing is truly brilliant. Well done both of you, your hard work is paying off
Thank you for sharing this. I lost my husband to suicide. I never knew he struggled. I just felt something off at the end. Iβll always live with that guilt.
Alex, thank you for taking ownership of your journey. Youβre saving lives, so thank you. And hold him tight, V.
GIRL, GIVE YOUR MAN A HUG. I know the puppy was there, but from my perspective he looked disappointed that you just shifted the focus and went to another subject. Hubbies before puppies
Alex seemed always a bit of lost in that superficial circus . And it felt like he was not found his place because of his own personality. Now he looks more confident and has boundaries. Boundaries that allows him to be his authentic self. Iβm really impressed how he involved as a person . Very inspiring
It is incredibly powerful to hear Alex talk about his struggles and Victoria's desire to fix them for him, and how he just needed someone to listen and be there, not give advice or try to fix it. As a therapist and a fellow struggler, I couldn't agree with this more. We love you guys and are so appreciative for the community you've created.
People donβt fake being depressed, they fake being ok
I have always enjoyed watching the two of you.
Today I listened to Alex speaking about his Mental Health. I am a Mother whose Son is struggling with Mental Health. What resonated with me was when Alex said that it takes time. It does between Medication, Therapy and Life Style. Fine Tuning.
Victoria is a problem solver, trying to fix it. So true and on point, just LISTEN.π
Wishing you both Health and Happiness for 2024
You both deserve so much commendation for speaking about mental health so openly. Thank you so much. And as always, vlogs are a pleasure to watch!
Thank you for sharing your personal struggles and opening up on how youβre working through them.
I can agree that it was concerning that men in the past were taught & encouraged to keep all their feelings inside.
I also am concerned for men today who are encouraged to become less masculine as if being strong minded and not giving into fears is a disgusting and antiquated behavior.
Unfortunately men today are encouraged and applauded to feel sad and worried and anxious all the time, as if those feelings deserve an award. Instead the healthy reality is men talking & working through those feelings should be respected and admired.
I honestly think that Faith & a healthy relationship with God and his word(Bible) are the most powerful tools we have to help us as both men & women understand our emotional highs and lows.
1st Peter 5:7 says:
βCast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.β
Too many times we are searching everywhere for answers from other flawed human beings instead of looking at the Greatest spirit who walked this earth as a man so he could relate to us and help us from the inside outππ»
I just love when you guys sit down and talk to the camera over lunch/dinner….feels like I am sitting in a cafe with friends catching up on things we have going on at the moment.β€
Fair play to Alex more men should start talking about mental health
Alex, you articulated yourself wonderfully π Thank you you for being candid/vulnerable π«Ά
Victoria you've also got to look after your own mental health you're a very strong woman but remember look after yourself Victoriaπ
Dearest Alex, you couldn't have described depression and anxiety any better. You could have what appears to be the perfect life from the outside, but it doesn't mean you aren't suffering. It very much is a personal journey, and I agree, an ear from someone is better than a list of solutions. Often triggers go way back and don't necessarily have roots in your current life. Thank you for sharing x
<3 what is the name of your new chanel bag?
Girls for all of you wanting a more budget boyfriend jumper, youβll find it in M&S menβs wear. We went through this late 80s early 90s.
Alex Bravo talking about mental health, and sometimes you canβt advice or feel powerlessness to help. But I think just listening and being there and available to talk with no judgement is so powerful. Always be kind, because you never know what a person is going g through. Big hugs Alex.ππ
Love the whole look with the big bag.
That bag is absolutely beautiful π absolutely keep it, navy goes with everything and it looks a little more casual than a birkin while still being luxurious
