  1. Oh yeah. Corrupt cops man 😅 Djibouti is where I’m originally from, they always get amazed at the airport when I mention that I don’t have Djiboutian citizenship and that I must get a visa every time I’m going to motherland. Well when I go, usually in the winter season Boston gets very cold and snowy and in Djibouti there’s no such thing as winter so it’s the perfect time and I’ve been there 12 times and the longest stay I had was 3 months, but even then I don’t get bothered when I’m taking pictures of whatever wherever whenever. It’s just the fact that you don’t really know the local languages to tell them to F off or befriend a local (advice to people who want to go there) and then they’ll never ever bother you.

  2. Yes Brother , 1889 the Europeans had a conference called the conquest of Africa and Somali territories we were carved up into three different regions, first was Somaliland fall under the British rule Djibouti was taken by France and South Somali territory went the Italian, later on Kenya was given the most southern part of Somali territory and British gave Ogaden to Ethiopia

  3. Djibouti used to be part of ethiopia .Just Like hongkong was part of china but was under the UK Care .The French Fineased ethiopia saying lets keep it for 100 years and call it a lease.when the time came they said F U .

  4. English speakers might mispronounce my country, Djibouti 🇩🇯, as "Djiboody" due to the unfamiliar combination of letters and sounds in the name. It's important to make an effort to pronounce it correctly as "Ji-buu-ti," respecting the proper pronunciation of a country's name.

    Merci.

  5. All the Horn of Africa is Somali, the European powers split us into 5 different parts the British took 3 (Somaliland/ Hawd reserve area) the Ogadeen and NFD now northern kenya, the French took Djibouti the Italians took Somalia,

  6. Great video it is more French in architecture and language than what I thought. And you dispell the myth that is is super expensive. Nice trip report under heat and beautiful blue sky.

  7. I'm really disappointed at how out date the buildings are in downtown…they getting all the money from all these countries for military base but not investing it development in infrastructure of downtown….

  8. Geelow hadaad u furi laheyd somalida albaabad jabuuti waxay udhismi laheyd sidii nayroobi iyo kaba sii fiican maanta ka xaaxaabi hee .waxaa la yir ninkii walaalkiis ka carara waraabaa meel cid la ah ku cuna…waxaad moodaa dad nool qarniyadii la soo dhaafay…

  9. The two major languages of Djibouti 🇩🇯 are: Arabic and French.
There is nothing called Somali language. The main language spoken in Somalia 🇸🇴 is: Swahili, which is related to Arabic.

  11. I love travelling myself and on occasions I have ventured well off the tourist trail. I enjoy watching travel vlogs of places that few people would consider going to and this video really exemplifies that. I enjoyed watching enough to subscribe to your channel and I look forward to seeing more of your content.
