I'm tired of people calling this the Church. This isn't Church, this is a synagogue which is a place of worship. It's no building on a corner. You are the CHURCH. You take it everywhere you go. Your HEART is the CHURCH. If u want to help take care of the synagogue, u can send whatever amount u want in a check to the government to pay any bill for that property. I'm sorry, but I'm not sorry for not buying clothes, jewelry, groceries, automobile, entertainment, vacations, doctor bills and SEX for someone else's gain. When I was a child, I thought as a child, now that I'm an adult, I put aside childness things (bible). Don't just grow up in age, but grow up in mind, spirit and knowledge. Keep the faith in God and not in MAN. Peace ☮️

My advice to anyone wanting to do something good for humanity, look for widows, widowers, orphans anyone in dire need and bless them directly. You don’t need anyone’s permission to spend your hard earned money or who you give it to. I don’t have anything against church/religion but when some of these head of churches don’t live by example and members can barely make ends meet, yet they scrape to pay tithe, it’s all shade of wrong. My dad was disliked because he stood up in the church and told the priest that all the widows and less privileged people should not be begging all to fulfil the obligations the priests mandated. Instead they should help those people out and if their circumstances improve, they can come and show appreciation. God grant us wisdom to see all that we need to navigate through this mental slavery some of our people find themselves in. Great job as always Phrankleen and happy new year to you and your family

First fruit/ tithing nd offering or serving God like in the first story is in the bible. They are not fake. Having said that, though, these things are not by force. The Father who asked his daughter to leave home b/c she does not want to go to church with them is wrong b/c thats not how to go about it. The husband who wants his wife to continue to bring her money/check for the church b/c he is a pastor, is wrong too. Is that what the bible said to give almost everything? The wife really needs to stuuuudy her bible and learn what it says about giving. Most things we do for God is not by force but by choice. If one refuses to give, God will use someone else.Read the bible nd know for yrself not just what you hear from yr Pastor. Its as simple as that.
The new thing now is all those pastors are using the money they gather in their churches to do Forex, Cryptocurrency, Bitcoin. They are investing with so called church money. They will now come and be preaching to about the kingdom of God how you face it. While they busy gathering wealth and living large.
Watch service thing as a kid was a ritual. We go to church from 5pm 31st till next day 6am. It was torturing. I hated it because the next day new year we still didn't relax we did another ritual which my parents created of large cooking and sharing it to the neighbours and truly most of our neighbours hated us because they knew our parents were hypocrites. I was so relieved when i moved abroad.
Deciding on what church to attend requires serious wisdom and discretion. Even when you find a comfortable place, still exercise wisdom in your giving. I know of a pastor who is based abroad and has a relatively large sized church. All of a sudden he’s asking his congregation to contribute towards a radio/TV program he’s established in Nigeria. Now in a situation like that no way I will give towards such an effort because as many churches as we have in Naija, ain’t nobody going be trying to watch an abroad based pastor’s broadcasts. As it is, we have an overload of churches! Church sef pass congregation since church is now business. Who knows him like that sef in Naija?

It has literally taken everything in me to forgive my MIL and the church she “tithed” a over 200k windfall into. She is now living with my BIL with no money to contribute and the pastor is nowhere in sight
