Shes spot on even in the Asian community no matter what you do people will always judge. My daughter is the oldest and one thing I ALWAYS tell her is "you do good or you do bad people will hate/judge you. Your not born to please people your born to Please Allah swt so no matter what you do please Allah"

I completely agree with this and more needs to be spoken of this. I am eldest daughter and couldn't go on strike as lived in single parent home where siblings are enablers and parent is narcissistic. I used to try and go on strike but they all gang up on you and gaslight you and make you feel like you're the wrong one.
It wasn't acceptable back then to move out but alhamdullilah
