In a video, a Brazilian woman discusses her opinion that black Brazilians can’t realistically speak of ‘amor preto’, or black love until they first face their adoration of whiteness.

  1. Afro Brazilians are fucked up, more than Afro Americans. .They still have the portiguese colonized mindset. This is insane, the self hate ! And this is prevalent in the entire latin America, even with the Indians-Indigenous! They all want to be white or whiten the family! Insane!

  2. Although we here in Jamaica has our own problems, tell all the black Brazilians who need a break from this self hate a racial chit to come to Jamaica and live a little ,give your mind a different perspective of life ,we will show you a little love link us up, you can create some vlogs are something and let us see how your day to day life is like, one love❤️😘🇯🇲👍💯

  3. In the 60s "Black-Pride" was the precursor to the "Afro" movement in the 70's then "say it loud…" in the 80s right before the jerry-curl came out, which seemed to halt everything.
Then is came back in the 10s with "decolonisation of the mind".
My point is we love hating ourselves and this is passed down from parent to child.

  4. "Us black women are not gonna wait around for our black prince." She made this up out of her a**. This is just an easy way out to date white men without criticism. Just being honest.

  5. Afro- Brazilians and Afro – Americans have a lot in common. The Portuguese were very good at the racial hierararchy. I got hooked on some Angolan soap opera s few years ago. I got sick at looking at how they were emulatating the Portuguese. They Portuguese are some of the most illiterate Europeans, especially during the time of colonization until the time of decolonization. If they didn't have their white skin, they had nothing.

  6. It’s crazy that all over the diaspora black women are saying the same thing about black men. Since all these women are different culturally, linguistically, religiously, politically and ethically… the only thing they seem to have in common is their race.

Black women need to just give it up! Just let it go! Or return back to Africa where the men have no choice but to be with you.

  7. It's not too late for fba males. The world mimics us. Fba men will be fine as long as we keep delineating from bw and tethers ✊🏿💪🏿👑🤴🏿👸🏽👸🏻👸🏼🇺🇲

  8. I never knew black Brazilians were aware to this extent. The ones I met were oblivious and very self hating without realizing it. I never pushed the issue because they wouldn’t understand.

  9. No one can make you feel inferior without your permission. I feel some people make a lot of excuses. Black people are projecting how they really feel about themselves unto other ethnic groups. It seems like everywhere you turn someone is always complaining or standing on a soapbox, letting the world know how hard it is to be black. Especially on the internet. I think that needs to change.

  10. It's about time. When we get our act together and stop worshipping the oppressor and love, support, and build our people and communities, the true rewards with come and the our heavenly father will bless us. We must stop sinning, repent, and follow TMH commandments immediately. 🙌🏽🙏🏽❤️

  11. Unfortunately it’s very unlikely anything will change. This is a society issue as a whole and society sets the terms and conditions. Regardless on how we feel we all have to compete based on what society say.

  12. My issue is with this perpetual including Black people from the us with every attempt to enlist subscribers.

Even this post creator references african americans and afro Brazilians, yet this platform is called Black Brazil. Which name is it. I have spoken with an brazilian and he said it’s an african paradigm. Why not afro Brazil or simply Brazilian news?

There is no Black continent unity. These narratives are only used to get Black people from the us subscribers.

People from Brazil simply are Brazilians. Argentinians, venezualians, peruvians. Generally these different cultures even in South or central America will tell you their not Black. Their the name of their country. Especially in the Caribbean and Africa.

Their seperate cultures. Brazilians, simply are Brazilian regardless of skin color.
Sone will tell you their latino.

That’s their right. This lady can only address her own culture. She speaks Brazilian. It’s Spanish right .That’s it’s own unique culture. .

So just use the Brazilian love term. Then your using pro Black. This is your term.

    Brazilians don’t use this term.

Please cover Brazil news from Brazilian culture. There is no similarity between brazil and Black people from the us.

Actually, linking US Black culture terms worldwide is shortsighted and contributes to these cultures continued struggle.

It’s time to quit using and connecting Black culture to other cultures only when it’s convenient and to make subscribers.

These cultures generally, do like Black people like that and are offended when the term Black is generally used to describe other cultures.

That lady knows this as well. Just say it’s a Brazilian issue. Your in brazil. It’s a Brazilian issue.

Black people in the us have no connection to islands or countries central, South America, the caribbeans or africa.

People anyone using the term Black, when describing their culture, like this lady are only using this term solely to get Black subscribers to get $.

That’s it. Stop doing it. And simply put the effort in and speak to your culture, and stop including Black people references in these convos in other countries.

Sick and tired of hearing the reference. Only brazil and every other culture can advance their culture and this can only be done by first acknowledging your own unique culture by its own name without any Black referencing.

    Grow up.
