A lot of info to pack in to a video, very nice. So many great sites! I wished we could linger a bit more on those. Viewers get to see them in the video for about 2 seconds each. For me, a very quick flash of a scene (that was so interesting) was a little uncomfortable, felt like I missed too, too much.
Thinking I might not go
Thank you for this helpful video!
Thank you, great video!
I did a Nile cruise 25 years ago & was very careful about drinking water &eating cooked food only. All good – until I brushed my teeth without thinking & used tap water. So sick! I really thought I'd die. Thus I missed Abu Simbal & spent most of my Aswan Dam time in a tiny cabin that constantly refilled with diesel smoke.
While I would love to visit these places. Your video put me off. There are too many people and that is a big no-no.
A holiday should be peaceful and few people around.
We sailed with Viking and has zero problems that you listed. Zero crowds, security was constant, they have their own berthing sites. Will always go with Viking
Bro I took a nine days trip to Egypt from Europe for 800 dollars. What the fuck are you talking about nine eight thousand?
How was the air quality??? I have asthma.
Always wanted to do this, but worry about unrest in the area.
My nightmare!
The fact that you were not that upset about sleeping on the bathroom floor tells me you did not pay for this trip!!
Sounds like hell.
1:57 Haha! I 1st thought of Christopher Lee's The Mummy!
Did you look into sailing the Nile on a dahabiya instead of the regular river boats?
Thank you so much for this video! If you have time, I have a quick question for you. I am going to Egypt in April. Do you know if it’s possible, instead of getting a Nile cruise, to just hire small independently-owned boats at each location to take us to the next location, and if so, if there are hotels and such at each of the main tourist stops along the river? Thank you!
How would the locals know someone is Bisexual?
Hello Gary! I've followed your cruise videos for advice on our cruises in North America, we never expected to see you pop up while we were planning a trip to Egypt! Since I trust your opinion much more than from most of the other Nile River Cruise videos, can I ask you two simple questions? One, was it worth it? and two, would you do it again? I guess those are sort of the same question, but thanks for your help.
We did a 5 nights Nile cruise this summer, as part of our 16 days tour in Egypt and we loved it. We enjoyed it so much that I think it was probably the best part of our trip and clearly one of the best trip in my life. We traveled with our 7 yo son and the staff on the cruise was amazing with him, everyone was very caring and trying to make him laugh. Our son really enjoyed the pool and all the excursions. The only issue we had was the extreme heat, but we managed to survive and enjoy everything.
In the summer, there were almost no one on the cruise and not many ships around.
How did you handle the afternoon tea when you don’t want to drink the water ?
The best advice that l can give you is never go to this country, you chance of being robbed is very high but you could be robbed of you life, as many tourists have. The whole country is full of filth, and do not fly a drone either.
If you go cheap you get cheap . The boat I was on was excellent. My gripe was too many beggars, street traders and everyone's breath smelled . Oh and exit through the gift shop . Oh and you are expected to tip litterally EVERYONE ! LOL even the little boy who takes your hand to help you down the gang plank 😂
