  1. I would suggest that instead of just condemning bleaching, tell people how to safely lighten their skin because, as long as colourism exists, as long as cosmetic industry and beauty exists, people won’t stop bleaching

  2. These women are so beautiful naturally! There are so many foundation cream and powders out there that can be used without harming the skin (so long as it is washed off at night). Still. I think most black women have gorgeous skin and coloring. Be proud of how God made you

  3. God is on earth. It is the devil and his lies have made you hate yourself and your blackness because you are creation of God the ones with no color are a creation of demons

  4. This is actually more widespread than Africa. I remember a former coworker from the Philippines telling me how upset she was that she couldn’t find skin bleaching cream when she moved to the U.S. This was also explained to my sister when she visited China. We are Caucasian with 100% Northern European descent so we are VERY pale skinned.

  5. It is sad that this culture associates beauty with being white or light skinned. I've seen very "ugly light skin people". Beauty all has to do with your physical stature, facial structure and personality. Not just skin tone by itself.

  6. It's really interesting how this documentary showed men who are skin bleaching. In my experience I've only heard of women skin bleaching. It's good that this documentary highlighted the fact that this issue affects both genders.

  7. God I just wish both the bleaching and forceful tanning (like as in sunbeds, tanning injections) businesses would stop becoming a trend, as they can cause risks to the body. I find these standards outdated because they're all related to classism, like hello we are in 2024 we are not in the 1600s or 265BC. Wish human beings are proud of what they have.

  8. Dark skin black men dont need to lighten their skin.. society accepts dark skin on black men.. they are well represented and over praised

  9. I want to be darker cuz darker women are prettier to me. Getting older iam great full how God Almighty created me cuz I never felt love until I got a better relationship with Master Jesus. To see him look at you. He makes you feel like you’re the only person he loves. Which makes it real in my soul.

  10. This is a sickness that many people of color suffer from. Im dark and I know I am beautiful. Never wanted to be lighter and I prefer to wear the darkest shades of foundation because " The darkest berries have the sweetest juice".
