  1. Build our own!! we as black people we are special community of people why are we hated by other races of people because we are blessed even in the midst of adversitys.🙏❤ think about it.🙏❤

  2. I’m surprised they were blatant like that. They usually don’t higher people. Unfortunately, the crown act is regulated to states. It’s not federal law.

  3. Wow that's high hair. Looks good. Did you ask them to clarify what he meant by "tame"?

I honestly don't think there is anything wrong with the manager wanting more conservative hair. You can be more conservative while still wearing your natural hair. Just for the interview. Your outfit says that you understand the need to be more conservative for an interview.

There are so many black female leaders and professionals wearing their natural hair in more subtle styles.

  4. That manager doesn't like it,, possibly the only one. Its not news though, that even in blk organizations blk women are insulted for some of their hair/hairstyles, and if one day it looks really pretty, you can't count the number of fingers that touch your hair, and keep up with the not so happy- sounding comments. 😢 If you wear a hat, or wear a scarf, that's worst.

  5. As a black female, i agree that the hair needs to be brought down lower. It's extra distraction that she doesn't want. HAIR that high needs to be washed and looks Rich & HEALTHY, spritz down and look manageable. Corporate world has a CODE, & must be followed.

  6. That's a beautiful style but it is not appropriate for the workplace. Braids, a low bun, twists, etc wiuld be a "better" look. She knows the system we live in so come on, ..Save that look for weekends and vacations.

  7. This actually would be distracting in the workplace, especially if in corporate and / or client-facing. There are ways to preserve your texture but also wear a hairstyle suitable for the context. This could have been a bun, a low-slung puff, a twist-out parted on the side, etc. Her hairstyle appears to be 8-9 inches tall.

  8. I dont care what yall tell the green, blue, red, wiggies and weavers but dont be doing thay to our Respectul Natural Sistas..I also care less about the divest crowd, they be natural alot also

  9. 2024 the fact that black Americans have to have such a bill is ridiculous. It will never be done with as you say. Until WE collectively do something about it. Know other race of people has a Bill!!! Why do black Americans accept this injustice? Why dont they really put up resistance to what happens to them. Rather than accepting and say " oh well, thats who they are🤷🏾 She should of got up and leave" What??? Naming and shaming is a good thing but the everyday 💩 you all are going through . As you see. A bill wont change Who they are!! I pray that Trump gives you all want is due to, reperations etc because if not. Whats the plan B? 🤨🤨🤨❤️🖤💚✊🏾✊🏾

  10. They shouldnt even bother, just don't get back to her and give the job to an Asian who will show up looking professional from head to toe. 😅😅

  11. Depends what job it is the person hiring for the job is concerned about the safety of the employee while doing a job that requires you to operate around machinery or you might have to wear a hat.

  12. She looks very professional and beautiful. Family, stop being surprised about how these folks behave. Until we submit, and try to become them as much as possible, they will always find a reason to have a problem with us. Let’s just make sure it never happens. B1✊🏿

  13. If a White female, with the same professional attributes applied, but had her hair in a beehive, 2 feet off her head, would she have received the same comment? Of course! If she's creative with her hair styles, maybe that's not the right fit/company for her? Their loss for sure 😮

  14. Her hair and style is gorgeous! But, it's very dramatic and probably not fitting for a conservative company. At least he was upfront with her about what the company expects, concerning "appearances" He could have just passed over her for having her hair too long and high. If he sees her complaint online, next time he'll just say "next" 😂
