The Resurgence of Militancy in the Niger Delta, A Game Play for 2027 – Olawunmi

It is disheartening for me to see militancy in the Niger Delta on the rise. What we are witnessing in Delta is political politically motivated with the sole aim of collapsing the central government

Cmdr. Kunle Olawunmi Rtd, Former Commissioner of Defence Intelligence College, Abuja

  1. Bandits are killing the same Army on daily basis in the North and it doesn't even make the news. It is like only bandits in the North are licensed to kill the Nigeria Army.

  2. Omg do we still really have people like this in this country? What is he doing now? We
Need him, he have what its takes to stabilize the security challenges in this country

  3. It's the fault of the military and their Impunity and uniforms superiority that under mind's the synergy with others, I had these other security Agencies
When Impunity underminds the advice so given by these others
The commander himself is needed to be blamed because there was no plan and back up he lacks in the needed roles he plays that lead to the collapse and in the proper procedure he ought to have been charged for incompetent and an officer not fit enough to hold the office of a Battalion Commander whether he is dead or not
This is not that am supporting the actions of the YOUTHS no matter what their provocation might be, that wasn't the right way likewise the military insensitivity to the innocent citizens of the community,
They the military lacks the intelligence to handle it successfully to conclusion
Now they the military Hierarchy requesting the same victims they have harassed and intimidated so much to give them information which they have destroyed
Yes, you said the Governor you can not trust then why was the commissioner of Police of the State including the press were not allowed access to the scene, yeah the press might exposed beyond just sites seeing but the CP had a constitutional rights, privilege and responsibility to his assignment OR assigned duties under his jurisdiction.
To me, it's Impunity based uniform superiority hence even their burial ceremony the IG was not inclusive which ought to have been part of it as amongst the Security Service Chiefs when such open observation forms part of the agencies synergy Security Interference Failures likewise the Mr IGNORANT NSA doesn't know what is entitled in the office he is holding

  4. Let it be noted that This makes it two times a yorubaman in the office of the presidency has completely razed down and obliterated a community in the south south ..first Obasanjo and now Tinubu😢..first Odi and now Okuama 😢😢

  5. Meanwhile, the Northern Nigeria that have been bombarded by the BH and other banditeries have not seen this type of military siege. Nigerian army na wa for una ooooo

  6. When corruption has taken a stronghold on the society with every institution including the security services are neck deep in crime and lawlessness in the country it’s not surprising to witness a breakdown in police/army and public relations. Military and police officers have been used in the past and in recent times to prosecute all manner of crimes both political like election fraud and economic crimes such as oil bunkering in the region and across many other places in the country and the result is what we are seeing today with the army, police and all the security agencies lacking the moral compass to address insecurity issues because they are part of the problem themselves.
