  1. Please tell your viewers about the not so common side effects. I did developed a cough earlier on after being prescribed lisinopril, and after three months, I was rushed to the ER in the middle of the night because I woke up as my throat was closing. The doctor had to rush to intubate me before my throat completely closed. they put me in ICU and tied my hands to the rails of the bed to ensure I wouldn’t pull the tube out. I couldn’t talk to let them know that I would not pull the tube out. I could not swallow, and I had to just let the saliva dribble down my face and neck because my hands were tied and I couldn’t clean myself up. The tube was removed 24 hours later. The ER doctor told my husband had I arrived just a few minutes later I would have died. my cardiologist never told me about the common or the uncommon side effects. I’m not even certain that he reported the event. I think it is so important to let people know of the life-threatening uncommon side effects, and just like the cough, this side effect can happen at any point in time while on lisinopril. it was the only time I ever feared for my life.

Dr please make certain that you tell your patients about the uncommon side effects so they may be aware .
