  1. The resources are in Africa but are African Countries willing to take the bull and manage their own resources when corruption and nepotism is the order of the day?

  2. "All one knew was that every quarter astronomical numbers of boots were produced on paper, while perhaps half the population of Oceania went barefoot."- George Orwell, 1984.

  3. 4:50 It is so sad that a continent full of every possible natural resources is reduced to bragging about its potential for sunlight.

It is almost like a beggar saying how much freedom he has (because he has nothing else). It is almost like the countries bragging about their potential workfoce/ human resource (an indirect admission of excessive unemployed and overpopulated nation).

This should not be the case with Africa- the birthplace of our species. Instead they are being brainwashed into believing that middle east is holy instead of their own lands. An acceptance of someone else's supremacy- modern day slave mentality.

  4. The problem for most African countries is population growth that is too high relative to the development of their economies. Corruption is next. Or just blame it on climate change and try to collect a payment from the rich world. See how that goes.

  5. Curtesy of the FED, ECB, BoE, printing trillions, and saying inflation will be transitory…😅 Crippling hundreds of millions of people if not billions arpund the globe. That is the USA. Ruining everyone but themselves.

  6. From Panama City I wish a Happy and prosperous New Year 2024. DW is one of my favorite channels, since the journalists are so excellent and have professional ethics. It doesn't compare to Latin American journalism. I hope I marry a Nordic man. Regards Gadski

  7. Meanwhile: In Germany, about three million family-owned companies are on the verge of bankruptcy, Bloomberg reports. Among the reasons for this trend, the agency cites the abolition of some subsidies for businesses, as well as bureaucracy, sanctions and the consequences of the pandemic.

  8. Inflation is only a problem when wages are not keeping up. It is wrong to say "people can't afford x because of inflation". People can't afford x because of real wage cuts. As long as wages keep in step, only cash hoarders are affected by high inflation.

  9. Big thanks to the Evil China 🇨🇳 for the impact of his Belt & Road Initiative policy, which caused economic recession in africa countries like Kenya 🇰🇪 & Zambia 🇿🇲
