Your cars are a joke
My wife drives an 2023 ID4 Pro S AWD and loves it. We recently returned from Ireland were we had a VW Golf eTSI (mild hybrid). The Golf was insanely efficient at 820km per tank. My wife enjoyed driving that car all over Ireland. What would sell in North America and eat Toyota's lunch: the 2024 VW GTE! GM is having to go back to the drawing board to bring back a PHEV. VW, you already have a PHEV that would sell and sell fast. My son drives a 2016 GTI. He is not into EV's and has said he would not consider the MK9 GTI EV. There are some people that are not ready for the EV lifestyle on road trips. PHEV's make sense for those that are not ready for BEVs. I drive a Silverado 1500 Duramax, when the Ramcharger comes out it will be in my driveway within a year for obvious reasons since we tow a camper. Since we do 99% of charging on the ID4 at home, having the Ramcharge just makes sense in the future. But if I had needed a daily driver, a GTE would be the choice (even the Golf eTSI would be a great daily car in the states).
This is why I'll only own VW 🥲
Failed to show the best VW Golf ever the MK4
I love the VW Golf, but the golf 8.0 has been a complete miss. The 8.5 shows some good improvements and some promise. I like the physical buttons on the steering wheel, and that the infotainment is better. However, the "glued on IPAD look" just looks cheap and weird, and VW should have listed to the criticism and included physical buttons for the climate control. The best move for VW is to make the Golf a bespoke EV with a frunk and som physical buttons in the interior.

Disappointing interior and silly lightbar on the front. I preferred when driving was the priority, not AI gimmicks and silly touch sliders. Steering wheel looks better.

Viel Plastik. Dieses Auto ist so schlecht das es für dieses Geld weit aus mehr Auto gibt. Vw würde ich niemals kaufen. Diese Autos sind zusammen geschusstert. Null Qualität komplett überteuert und das Material riecht nach billig Ware aus china
