Why did she leave that job? Why would that rumor start? Was that investigated?
I wonder if the parents ever tried using a psychic for help. I truly believe that there are people with this gift that could help in this matter.

She was two years younger than my mother. I was born in ‘82, and had 4 kids myself. Makes me wonder what Anne’s life would have been like. What would she have accomplished? Would she have had children and who would they have been? Their children? These disappearances are as if someone took an eraser and did away with something (or rather many somethings) that truly could have been 😢 Thanks DC for all that you do!
It definitely sounds like foul play. If she had planned to leave, she wouldn't have left her keys and purse. Also, there doesn't appear to be any reason why she would want to disappear.
Sometimes I think I click on these videos just to hear the intro music. Its so beautiful. But i always stay to listen to the stories. So sad. Thank you for the beautiful and thoughtful stories of those whose lives were stolen from their loved ones
How about the apartment manager or handyman? Did apartment dwellers have access to the property keys or master key? Definitely a person from the apartment complex, I’d say. I’d recommend finding a medium, someone that can receive messages from the deceased. Do not, under any circumstances, give any information to the medium. A true medium does not require details.
One question only, because my others are already covered: have any of Anne's other female friends dissapeared also? This friend or friends may be one(s) that the family knows nothing about. They may have been at work or at school or even the local sandwich shop. The men have already been covered by other commenters. I doubt she dissapeared alone as she doesn't seem the type to be self-harming. So who disappeared with her? Maybe a day or two or a week or even a month or two after? This could be a random snatch of a woman but I doubt it was the only one!

Women never leave without their shoes, purse, wallet, keys etc. She was on a brilliant path, someone she knew killed her; a neighbor, old BF or an apartment employee with keys to her unit.
How horrible for this family. I can't imagine anything worse than your loved one to have gone missing.

This sort of thing usually involves an acquaintance or "friend" of the victim. It would explain the lack of disturbance in Ann's apartment. It may have been advantageous to look into her former male fellow employees and classmates. I pray her surviving family members get answers someday.
I honestly don’t know how parents are able live with not knowing what happened to their child. That must be one of the worst living hell’s to endure. I hope there will an answer coming soon.

😢These cases always haunt me, like their souls are trapped in time…I hope her family and Anne find peace one day.
I doubt she would have left her belongings behind if she just decided to up and leave someone most likely forcefully prevented her from returning home she's extremely unlikely to be found alive unfortunately
