Hey there Explorers! I plan on doing a Q&A video sometime in the near future, so if you have an questions to ask respond to this comment here! Besides, that, my next videos will be about Fontaine and Chenyu Vale, so stay tuned
dont listen to these comments sayin “dOnT uSe oLd fLaG” use it pls the new flag is trash and most iranians hate the government bc the government kills millions of innocent people for fun specially women in iran 🙁 so thank u so much for using the old flag! <3 i luv dis channel u have and the fact u used the kurdish flag too makes me happy bc im kurd of iran so with this old flag u use and the kurdish flag it makes me so happy!!! thank u so much 🤍🤍 u have amazing explanations in ur vids!
Hold up, I think you misread some info. Kathak wasn’t really “brought” by Mughals in India, although they did huge contributions to it. Kathak is actually way ancient, it has its origin from natyashastra, arguably the oldest dance disciple of the world, it gets its name from the kathakars community known for courtesan dances. Persian influences came later when Mughal kings integrated the dance in the tawaif courtesanship culture.
Also, the word “darshan” doesn’t only mean sight, it also means philosophy, or a school of thought. If you actually read about the six darshans of Hinduism, they have great parallels to the six darshans of sumeru akademiya, just like the seven Persian deities. And if you observe the logos of all the darshans, they actually represent animals from the indian subcontinent.
also nahida is Persian
nahid is the one of Persian god and it's a common name in Iran
the burst it's very similar to Iranian mosque
This video was so amazing. There was so much info and details I never noticed thanks and keep up the good work!❤️👏👏
As an iranian, thank you ❤🔥
Gormeh sabzi soo delicious you should try 😊
As an iranian, thanks for your video. i am really happy about your video ❤❤
As an Iranian I absolutely loved Sumeru's Persian inspirations. The refrences in lore and characters and map designs were so beautifully done and Sumeru's forest truly feels like home to me.
I loved the representation and writing & design for Kaveh so much that he's been my main for a year now.
Your video is SO AMAZING and so informative. It even taught me many new things.
Sadly the Iranian inspirations can go unrecognized by some players but It's so amazing to see essays like this.
I LOVE everything about sumeru. Will gladly look into your other videos as well.
One thing to top this off is that Ahura mazda literally means Wise God.
Still cant understand why you aren't getting thousands of views this is such a good video
One more thing I don't know whether they made the main lore of Sumeru intentionally like the exact spot Iran is right now today but defeating the Academia (the clergy) sure is fun. I genuinely think it was intentional.
oh and Azar is a Persian name meaning Fire like in Azerbaijan meaning protectors of fire.
37:04 not trying to be rude or anything but the instrument that plays there is not santur but sitar i think? And if i were to be not mistaken, "Yazadaha" pool is a combination of Sanskrit words "Yasa" (fame) and "daha" (pool) according to fandom wiki and Chinese translation of the subregion, aside from these i don't have any doubts regarding this well done informative video 😀
hello I am a Iranian, please don't used the old flag, my father was executed by the Shah and the flag is used by Iranian neo-nazis in the west
I'm an Iranian, please dont use the old flag it was used by a brutal dictatorship and is today used by iranian fascists in the USA
Love the video ❤ you did such an amazing job educating us I can't wait for what's to come.
On a side note does anyone think genshin is our generations lord of the rings. I mean that by using different cutures, myths, and Legends genshin is abble to make its own unique story just like Tolkien once did.
As Iranian diaspora there is so much about my people which I never had the chance to learn. Thank you for shining a light on our true culture.
I find Nahida, the Archon of Sumeru, to be extremely well balanced between the cultures in her country and using the common/shared mythos of two or more at a time in forming her design and personality.
Nahida is based off of Anahita, Sarasvati, Khonsu, and has powerful buddhist ties to Avalokitesvara and Tara, and perhaps even Guanyin and Kannon, aside from the hindu inspirations you've already mentioned in your other videos.
All of these motifs combine in Nahida and connect her persian, arabic, hindu and buddhist subjects. It also reinforces the idea that Nahida is an emanation of the tree of the world which touches every country and culture.
(Nahida herself goes on to have further greek, germanic and norse roots as well, taking her cultural inspo literally from westernmost europe (scandinavia) to easternmost asia (japan))
This video is excellent and taught me so much new history and culture. Thank you so much. It's exciting to look for irl references to real myths and history in genshin 😊😊❤
i recently found a brain rot video of someone describing wanderer;s penis. this video saved my brain
kaveh is also kurdish and also from kurdish mythology,, his clothes and shoes are kurdish, his ascension flower is the kurdistan freedom flower/national flower, his ideology is inspired by kurdish freedom movements, and there is also sooo much more
Infact Pre-Islamic Persian culture and Indian culture are very similar to each other. This was a treat to watch as I made so many connections with the culture in India due to how much the two civilisations have influenced each other! You deserve more views this is some of the best content for lore enthusiasts.
Your videos are so underrated! I learned a lot and really enjoyed it. 🙂 <3
Calling this "quality content" is an understatement, please do more
some character notes!
-nilou also features two of irans colors persian blue and persian red!
-nilou wears gold, pearl,(and possibly)chalcedony and jasper! all of which worn by persians.
-ram horns represent masculinity and fertility
-and her dance is a mix of raghs-e-pa,involving footwork, and solo dances which involve arm movements.
-the anahitian blessing is mentioned ingame which is a refrence to anahita, rhe zoroastrian goddess of wisdom water and fertility
-the anahitan blessing vould be from nahidah as in her voicelines she mentioned blessing us and her name propbably comes from the modern version of anahita, nahid.
-for kaveh his hairclips are reminiscent of the derafsh kaviani a symbol of iranian resistance.
-his clothes resemble womens persian clothing with the salwar(pants)openchested top and giweh shoes!
-he also has persian colors, persian red, blue and green.
-faruzan has motifs based of minakari a way of decorating plates
-her dress is remisncient of dresses worn by girls during the qajar era
-her name also relates to firuzeh the persian word for turquoise(explaining her color pallette.)
this isnt everything but its some major things in these characters! ゚+.゚(´▽`人)゚+.゚
Another amazing video ♥ I fell in love with Sumeru through your analysis. I don't know much about these cultures, so a lot of thse references were lost on me till now ^^; But yeah, Fontaine is my fav region, so really looking forward to learning more about it with you! Thank you!
Thanks man for these videos
Wish more people to like this video so it is recommended to others as well.
Well, beside mughal empire, delhi sultanate also have some references in sumeru being corps of thirty is based on irl delhi sultanate corps of 40, also those guy bring persian influence to india waay earlier than mughal did
I appreciate more content creators who upload every few months a banger of a video than those who upload weekly videos who are lacking in information and quality.
I'm always happy to see a new video from you because you take your time to research everything and provide a lot of details.
(:]{ D
been loving your research and showcasing sumeru's inspirations <33
27:09 one more fact the Word Shatranj is Persian/Arabic derived from Sanskrit chaturaṅga
Really great video to learn about Persian culture included
Also thanks to genshin i didn't had knowledge of Persian culture(also Arabic/Egyptian )but after sumeru i was able to learn many new things
I found it that Persian and Sanskrit words have so much similarity I guess because of both have a common Indo-Iranian orgin
But these two also opposite meaning for words like Persian (Daeva) represent bad but in Sanskrit (Dev/Deva) represent good
Again For Persian (Ahura) represent good but in Sanskrit (Asura) represent bad
And the concept of Asha in Zoroastrianism is similar to the concept of Dharma in Hinduism
38:26 100% agree it's so beautiful mixture of culture also my favourite nation
Especially music diversity
another great video, nice work rom 🙂
