  5. Did you check out the cotton tree in freetown?
A group of escaped African Americans (Gullah speaking pll) arrived in Sierra Leone, with the help of British. And they arrived at the cotton tree. Itโ€™s still there today. They built freetown (town for free ppl) and Jamaicans and Nigerians later joined. They renamed themselves krio tribe (Gullah language x Nigerian Pidgin x Jamaican patois.)
